Happy Halloween
31 X 14
Are you celebrating Halloween LEGO castle style? Are you dressing up as a minifig? Did you build a pumpkin out of bricks, or carve a real pumpkin with a LEGO theme? Do you have a haunted castle set up on your dining room table? Share your pics in our forum! BTW, these costumes come from Rachael Wunderlich , Chelsea Thompson Jackson *, and Contestant 119 (highly speculative on the second one, Pinterest users are notorious for reposting pictures without proper attribution).

Spider-hut
30 X 14
Still another great creation from the 2014 MOColympics. In round 4, Magma Guy was challenged to build a fantastical house - "Something along the lines of Rapunzel's tower, Baba Yaga's house, Howl's Moving Castle and so on." He came up with this creepy Spider-hut. Perfect for Halloween week. Check out the spider-hut, along with all of Magma Guy's other MOCs, on Flickr and MOCpages and then discuss it in our forum.

Dungeons & Dragons
28 X 14
The annual MOColympics continues to inspire. In round 4 LukeClarenceVan was paired off against Ian Spacek with the category of "Bored Games". Ian's Clue advanced to the next round, but I particularly liked Luke's illustration of Dungeons & Dragons. Check this out along with all of his other MOCs on Flickr and MOCpages, and then discuss it in our forum

Greyhaven
27 X 14
|T|itus built this micro walled town, Greyhaven, a small fishing and mining town from the North-West of Garheim. It's ruled by Frerar the One-eyed, also the leader of the Wardens, who keep this town safe. This was built as part of the Lands of Roawia group roleplay on Merlin's Beard. You can see this along with all of |T|itus' creations on Flickr and then discuss it in our forum.

Ka-Riel Mill on Creations for Charity
24 X 14
Gabe Umland built the Ka-Riel Mill earlier this year. You can see this along with all of his work in his Flickr stream and discuss it in our forum.
I actually thought I'd featured this on the front page when it was first posted, but it looks like I didn't. The awesomeness of this MOC would be enough justification to bring it back as a feature, but it also is timely in that it is one of the MOCs that has been donated to Creations for Charity. This is a community driven initiative to raise money to purchase LEGO for underpriveliged kids (Nannan Zhang is the point person for this). AFOLs donate great MOCs like Gabe's inn, custom figures, and rare LEGO items that are sold in the C4C BrickLink shop. Last year they raised money to buy over $20,000 worth of LEGO sets, which went to kids in six cities in three countries. Make a kid happy, and also get something great from a fellow FOL, by supporting this community effort.

CC Set Review: 79007 Battle at the Black Gate
21 X 14
Join the Classic Castle set review discussion. Please post your opinions on the set play ability, piece selection, design, etc. Which sets stand up to our catapult of critique and which ones crumble in shame!
This week’s set is 79007 - Battle at the Black Gate.
This set includes the Black Gate itself and one of the Towers of the Teeth. The tower can be detatched, so you can rearrange the set in various ways. LEGO also give pictures showing how you can put together two of the sets to have both towers and a much larger gate. The set includes The Mouth of Sauron and two orcs on the side of Mordor, and Gandalf the White, Aragorn (with royal Gondor livery), and an eagle (presumably Gwaihir, though I don't know if he's ever specifically named in the set) on the side of the West.

The Hobbit told in 72 seconds
17 X 14
BrotherhoodWorkshop is a prolific source of Brickflims, including a great number based on the Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit, always with a humorous twist. The most recent film is the Hobbit told in 72 seconds (only about 33,000ish seconds shorter than Peter Jackson's version). See this along with all of the other videos on the BrotherhoodWorkshop YouTube channel and then discuss it in our forum.

Barad-dûr
16 X 14
MocOlympics is an annual competition on MOCpages that pairs up builders in head-to-head matchups in a single elimination tournament. Every year this contest inspires great builders to stretch themselves to meet new challenges. In round 3, Ian Spacek was tasked with a microscale creation, and he came up with this Barad-dûr. You can see this along with all of Ian's work on Flickr and MOCpages and then discuss it in our forum.

Vote in the Bound movie contest
15 X 14
Forum member Mudskipper is producing a full-length castle-themed Brickfilm, Bound, and he's asking for our help. Three of our forum members have produced backdrops to be used with a given scene, and you are asked to vote on your favorite. The winning entry will be incorporated into the movie, and the builder will win fame, fortune, and a signed copy of the movie on DVD. Let your voice be heard!

The Old Watermill
14 X 14
César Soares, aka Cesbrick, continues to amaze. He's relatively new in the AFOL community, but he's developed a strong personal style, most recently seen in his Old Watermill. This distinctive building is found in the enchanted forests of Vanhorn on Avalonia. Cesbrick is active in the Guilds of Historica on Eurobricks, here at CC, and the Portuguese LUG Comunidade 0937. Check out this Watermill along with all of his other great creations on Flickr and then discuss it in our forum.

Loholt Manor
10 X 14
Loholt Manor is the latest MOC revealed by Derfel Cadarn (I say revealed because it was built a year ago, but I believe never publicly posted online). Derfel, aka Luke Watkins Hutchinson, won Master Builder honors in CCC VIII, and is active in the Brickish Association as well as participating in the Guilds of Historical, CC, and other forums around the Legoverse. You can see all of his MOCs on Flickr and MOCpages. Check out all of the pictures of Loholt Manor and then discuss it in our forum.

Mouse Guard
7 X 14
Mouse Guard is a graphic novel and role playing game set in a medieval world of heroic mice. Brickbaron (aka Paul Hetherington) built this amazing sculpture featuring the three main characters. You may have seen pictures of this in coverage of the BrickCon gathering in Seattle this past weekend, where it won both "Best Art" and "Best in Show". Paul says there is more to come from him and his ArchLUG colleagues at next year's Emerald City ComicCon. Check this out along with all of Paul's other MOCs in his Flickr stream and then discuss it in our forum.

Bandit Tower
5 X 14
Turkish FOL and CC member Cagri recently built this Bandit Tower. It a re-imagining of the classsic Wolfpack Tower built for the Re-Design Contest at TurkLUG, a forum he helped found. He goes either by Cagri or Legoadam on various LEGO sites. Check this out along with all of his MOCs on Flickr and Brickshelf and then discuss it in our forum.

The Witches of Warmorlor
1 X 14
Double, double toil and trouble; fire burn, and cauldron bubble. In an appropriate creation for the start of October, CC member CaptainFlint built the Witches of Warmorlor, with witch hunters capturing their foes. In addition to being here at CC, CaptainFlint is active in the Guilds of Historica over at Eurobricks. You can check this MOC out with all of his other creations on Flickr and then discuss it in our forum
