A broch is a round stone structure built in Scotland about 2000 years ago, perhaps built for defensive purposes, perhaps as more peaceful farm dwellings. Most of these are found in the extreme north of Scotland or along the western coast. The Caithness Broch Project, a group that seeks to preserve archaeological sites and educate the public, have commissioned Brick to the Past to create a LEGO display that will be housed in the Caithness Horizons Museum. If you're anywhere in the area, be sure to check it out, and also discuss it in our forum.

James Pegrum (aka Peggyjdb in our forum) and Jimmy Clinch (aka Thomas Arrowford in our forum), both part of the Bricks to the Past collaboration have made a massive rendition of the battleground, as well as a number of smaller scenes of surrounding events based on the Bayeaux Tapestry. You can see them all on their site or, if you are anywhere near northwest England you should go see them in person along with other great builds at the Bricks in Time exhibition.
