Rules and Information
The contest will begin on Wednesday, November 1st, 2017 and end on Sunday December 31st, 2017 at 11:59pm US Eastern Time.
You may submit up to 2 entries into each category, unless explicitly specified otherwise. See the Categories and Prizes
Each submission is limited to five photographs except vignettes which are limited to three photographs. You may edit your images digitally, but only to clean up the images for presentation.
This year we do not have size limitations on the images. However, entries will be judged by viewing the default image size. Judges will not zoom in to full resolution to see every small detail in a giant image.
Each entry should include at least one image with a white background to improve the grading process.
LDraw images are acceptable but these entries must use readily available pieces, not large quantities of rare pieces, colors, or figures, and they must also be physically possible.
Composite images are only allowed to show some action feature (e.g. an inset photo to show falling axes or a trap door swinging).
Images will not be hosted by Classic-Castle. We suggest using Brickshelf
or Flickr to host your images.
Please make a folder (on Brickshelf) or a set of images (on Flickr) for each of your submissions.
Submissions can be entered into other LEGO contests but still must meet our category requirements.
You can not submit any creations posted online or shown in public before November 1st, 2017.
Please go to the "Submit an Entry" page to enter your creations in the contest.
Enter your name and email, the name of your creation, the category you are submitting to, a link to the image gallery,
a thumbnail link (if you have one), and a brief description.
By submitting your entry you give Classic-Castle.com the unrestricted rights to publish your entry online.
The evaluation committee will be made up of the administrators of Classic-Castle.com.
Therefore, they are not eligible to enter this contest.
Submissions will be evaluated based on Creativity, Playability and Details.
Judges may also consider how well the entry fits the spirit of the category.
An entry may be moved to the miscellaneous category if it does not meet key category requirements.
The administrator grades for each submission will be averaged for the creations final score.
The highest score in each category will win that categories prize.
Each participant can only win a maximum of one prize.
If he/she wins multiple categories, additional category prizes will have to be forfeited.
This prize will go to the second place in the forfeited category.
The master builder winner will also receive the master builder grand prize.
Shipping and Legal Requirements:
Classic-Castle.com will pay for shipping prizes to the winners in the United States.
If the winner lives outside of the USA, they will pay the difference between actual
shipping cost and the cost to ship the prize in the USA.
We reserve the right to modify the rules and prizes of this contest at any time.
By participating in this contest, entrants agree to be bound by the official rules and decisions of the judges.
By acceptance of prize, winners consent to the use of their name/likeness/entry materials in any manner by
Classic-Castle for advertising/trade without further compensation unless prohibited by law.
By accepting any prize, winners agree to hold Classic-Castle, the LEGO Group,
and any prize donor harmless against any and all claims, damage,
injury caused or liability related to the administration of this contest,
participation in this promotion, and/or the use or redemption of a prize.
