A Cliffside Hut

Nestled against the side of a windswept cliff, the hut of Old Man Magnus stands quite alone along the side of the sea. The owner's tranquility was disturbed when our four heroes traversed the dangerous path towards his hut. The only way to reach the hut from the ocean is a small, dark tunnel leading up to a trap door underneath the table inside. Only Old Man Magnus and the foresters know of this secret entrance.

Attack upon the High Road

When we had last left our four heroes, they had discovered a vast hoard of treasure in a hidden cave. They were lugging their load back to their home city when suddenly they were ambushed by a rougish band of foresters led by the fearsome Will o' th' Black. Part 3 of 4.

Brother Stephen, a monk from Falworth Abbey

Brother Stephen is a very humble and pious monk living in the renowned Falworth Abbey. He is pictured here writing and illlustrating a history of days long gone.

Carriage Ballistae

Carriage Ballistae are small artillery pieces carried on the back of carts into battle.
This is my own medieval version of a Roman device.

Falworth Keep

Falworth Keep is the ancestral home of Sir Roland the Noble, the current liege lord.
Surrounding the castle proper are thick woods, in which abound foresters of the band of Will o' th' Black.
Far below the castle, the cliffs are wet from the swells of the sea, which dash upon the rocks with foaming waves.

King Aldewulf the Brave

King Aldewulf is as much a legend as he is real. He is a mighty warrior of the North, possessing two fierce hounds and an axe made from steel and oaken wood.
Over his lengthy and colorful history, he gathered an enormous hoard of treasure, which is stored somewhere in a hidden location... and to this day, ALMOST no one knows where it is...

Shadow Archer

This Shadow Archer lives in the blackest woods, a solitary and forbidding character. He is armed and dangerous, packing an enormous bow that shoots arrows with deadly accuracy. The reason he lives alone in such seclusion remains a mystery.

The Recapture of King Aldewulf's Treasure

When we last left our four heroes, their great treasure had been suddenly stolen by a wild pack of foresters, leaving them nearly penniless on the side of the road. Thankfully, they met a party of knights, led by the noble Sir Roland who - after hearing their sad tale - offered to help recover their lost goods.
