The Bridge at Col Glace Observatory was commissioned for the astronomer Gilles of Middenheim, who spent 30 years of his life constructing the enormous looking glass mounted atop the tower of Col Glace. Today the bridge is accessible only by passing through a gated entrance, attached to the residence of the current caretaker, Magnus d'Agnell. Keychain display

I try to make theme appropriate display systems for my keychain collection, with the common feature being a standard baseplate foot print usually featuring a structure of some sort, and then a rotating scene on top. For this one, used to display my castle / pirate / adventurers figs, I used pneumatics to power the rotating top. The base is a fortified house (not quite a castle), and the top is an adventurers type scene (call it "Johnny Thunder and the frogs of doom"). [more]

A Riot

The evil king Lionard has been suppressing his followers for many years. Now they have had enough of it and began a riot. Now they're raiding the castle. In this particular scene we see the climax of this riot. The people are entering the throne room were the king is protected by his last 7 bodyguards. In picture (a) we see the people demolishing a castle corridor, ripping down paintings, smashing benches etc. In picture (b) we see the people bashing through the throne room doors. In picture (c) we see that the people have thrown over a bookshelf and bashed a dinner table. We also see the tensed king, and his last loyal guards. [more]

Medieval village

It's an always growing medieval village with a lot of details based on different PC games (like Age Of Empires, Settlers, etc.). It can "support itself" because this settlement can produce all the necessary stocks. There's a woodcutter, a stoneminer, a coal and iron mine, a blacksmith, a farm, a windmill with bakery, a fishery, a hunter's shed, a warehouse, a market, a church, and an inn. Now the King with his troop is just leaving the town, while a fire-eater entertains the people. [more]

Castle McGloghlan

Castle McGloghlan is a small fortified villiage, the main castle belonging to Richard McGloghlan. (I chose the name based on the basic spelling of my ancestral scottish sirname and Richard after my grandfather.) While most of the fortification is relatively standard fare, the msot notable section is the watchtower overlooking the sea. The "bridge" section leading to the tower also houses a bell. Th Green Boar Inn (long building against the "S" shaped wall) recently suffered a fire, burning the top section. The fire is suspect and may have been arson. Along with the top section the fire also burned the roof of the castle well. Present are homes/businesses of a farrier, baker, and blacksmith/wheel-wright. The small home under construction against the rear wall is for the new villiage carpenter currently working onf the Green Boar. [more]

Gigantic elephant-like beasts from Harad. They were described as having tree-like legs, sail-like ears, long serpentine trunks, red eyes and horn-like upturned tusks. They shook the ground when they walked, and their triple thick hides were so tough that arrows didn't penetrate but instead broke or skipped off. In the War of the Ring, the Haradrim brought Mumakil with them to battle with huge war towers mounted on their backs. [more]

Fort of the Royal Knights

This is a small fort owned by the Royal Knights. It includes protective walls and a keep. The MOC has no backside so you can view the inside of the keep and basement. There is a black smith, a small supply shop, toilet, water well, and weapons racks found through out the fort. A neat thing about this fort is that it was built in new colours(except for the brown pieces)and mostly new figures. [more]
