Cool, I saw the receipt in your pic.
The battle packs are $9.99, not too bad for 5 figs and 4 shields!
And with 30% off it's a deal!

I only have a few of the smaller sets, but I certainly have to agree. I think the Lego company is finally getting back to understanding what makes outstanding sets. I have a few nitpicks with the new sets, but no more so than I would have with some of the old classic sets. It seems to me also that ...

Sweet deal. I would guess those are going to be $10. Consider the 2008 Star Wars battlepacks have four figs and a vehicle for $10. So five figs alone should be the same, but probably not less considering the packaging. Now if they make a troll and dwarf battlepack for 2009 I will be insanely happy....

Well I'll tell ya Tony, that sounds all well and good, but what about all that green, blue, red and yellow! What am I going to do with that? What, you say? Green for hills? Blue for water/moats? Pish-posh. Red for medieval houses? Uck! Yellow for filler in landscaping? Ludicrous. I only use brown, t...

I've read that Mega Bloks doesn't use ABS plastic, but I wonder what else they possibly could use. Whatever it is it turns out remarkably similar, so much so that the price difference is far more than worth it to me. Even if I didn't love the themes and sets Mega Bloks is putting out now so much mo...

Re: Hi, I love Mega Bloks! :)

Eventually the style of sets I loved so much gradually dwindled in supply, replaced by sets and themes that I was not compelled to spend money on. Before I realized it, my feverish passion had become all but a memory. Long after my interest had waned, I would only casually browse the LEGO aisles in...

Very cool. I'm jealous.

I think it's interesting that you didn't worry about the pawns all looking the same, you just built what was needed to make a good looking wall.

Re: My son two open heart surgeries a custom LEGO Castle Set

I am not rich and probably not even middle class but between having created a custom LEGO set in the past and currently having the desire to honor my newborn baby who has been in the struggle for his life, I am hoping to create a LEGO Castle Set to honor him. I do not have a lot of LDRAW skills but...

I didn't vote in the poll. Because, I don't think one is better than the other. I've used a mixture of both in my houses and I think the variety makes things look better. ( Although I've done more with the stone on the bottom. ) Also, I've even done houses where the first floor is ½ stone and ½ tudo...
