Re:

I liked this set, but the thing that spoiled it for me was that it had only just been released and then we all got to see the pics of the new fantasy era castle line and that pretty much ruined the goodness of this set (because the new line was so much better). I think a 7/10 is quite a good number ...

Re: Drawbridge Defense

I can safely say that I was incredibly impressed with this set when I opened and built it. The structure is much, much better than I thought it would be and the minifigs are just brilliant. I really bought it for the figs, but the whole set is really, really fantastically good.

Re: Weekly Set Review: Sea Serpent

I used to long for this set as a kid. Simply a perfect set with its high number of minifigs and awesome design.

Re: Weekly Set Review: The Knight

The thing that has only half been mentioned here is the ability to equip out another knight. This is perfect for all those stupid Jayko minifigs I collected back in the day (to get shadow knights). Jayko's colour scheme fits right in with crown knights and the euro armour and extra helmet effectivel...

I wouldn't count on it. The American price drop makes sense because Americans are used to paying lower prices on pretty much everything. The Canadian price now matches with international pricing. I doubt that everybody will see the same price drop that the US did simply because LEGO knows that non-...

whats dum is that you contradict my statement, but completely agree that few people will buy the set. No, I said it may or may not sell well and only Lego will know. What I was contradicting was the ludicrous statement that is made again and again about "the exception that proves the rule"...

im confused as to whom this is supposed to appeal to; its way too expensive for kids and afols arent willing to spend that kind of money on a chess set. i dont buy the planned price reduction, for a company the size of lego with a product that has limited appeal all that really does is cut down the...

This set is cheap to us Australians. The real reason for the price of this set in the US is the current exchange rate, which has fallen drastically for Americans.

Cheer up though, at least you don't have to fork over $1k for the Falcon.

Dear Mr S, Thank you for contacting us on 26/03/08 and for your interest in LEGO® brand products. LEGO bricks are designed to be built and rebuilt over and over again, so the use of glue is not endorsed. The Giant Chess set, like all the other LEGo set, is to be built from beginning to end. Phurt the necromancer has legions of the undead at his disposal, several dragons, a new style cloak and printing on his legs, torso and hat. That makes him far more powerful than Majisto or anyone else.

Surely it has to be more appreciated than the KK2 effort which had an entirely useless army. At least Skellies have appeal for other people (meaning they're tradebait).

This was by far the worst of the KKII:3 line of sets. The problems with it are threefold: 1) poor value for money - the other 3 sets (the boat, the battle at the pass and the mistlands tower) all offered far better value for money and more minfigs for the buck (which was really the appeal of the KK2...
