Sorry to dredge up an old thread. I'm way behind on the forum, and since I'm home sick with nothing beter to do I'm trying to get caught up. Ye gods, you all talk a lot around here. This thread caught my eye, and I'd like ot respond to the comments that Lego should expand their lines to include more...

Splitting threads

Over in Lego Sets, there is a new thread called German Red Ghosts. It was split off of some other thread, presumeably in Castle Customs? I'd like to see the red ghost in question, but I'm not sure where this thread came from. I don't read every topic, so I must have missed something. When splitting ...

That is a great MOC. Small, but very detailed, and you have captured the smooth curves of adobe and other earth-built-buildings well. It remined me somewhat of the adobe buildings in the American Southwest, but is distinctive enough to clearly *not* be from that region. Great job! Is there an interi...

I love, love, love the hobbit house door. Brilliant, and very authentic looking. The tower and gate look great, although I have to ask if you were intending the gatehouse to be deeper? The willow tree on the edge of the tower MOC looks half finished, like it was intended to be flush up against a wal...

I was a kid at the right time, but my parents were not ones to rush out and buy an Atari.

Instead, the pattern of the blocks reminds me of some of the quilting my mom did. Some of those patterns are very geometric. Hmmmmmmmmmm.

Since this has been bumped, I'll second the "WOW!" on that aquarium design. I especially like the poor Castle guy clutching his sword against hordes of fish larger than he is. Great work.

I've always enjoyed the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum. Great for anyone who is a closet spacer. And they've got an IMax. For those in the DC area, I'd reccomend a visit to Staunton, Va. Why? Because it is home to Shenandoah Shakespeare Express and the theater they perform in "Blackfriars Pla...

I have to agree. Someone posted a very nice outdoors standard with a lot of good pics of landscaping. It was posted at least a year ago, and is essentially a tutorial. Yet is it only available on these boards, and only if you search well. The tutorial section on the site itself does not appear to ha...

This is very cool. Sadly, I am a dirt poor grad student and have no $$ for Lego.

But my birthday is in a couple of months.

Hmmmmmmmmmm.

PM's vanishing?

Anyone else have PM's vanish, or never appear? I just logged into my email, which included a message stating that I have a new PM on these boards. I logged on here a minute later, and my inbox is empty- I'm new and have never gotten a PM. So what happened? Do messages vanish around here, or is there...

I like it. The new heads go with the color of the legs, and they really fit well with no obvious gaps that announce "that's the wrong head!"

Very good monster for any fantasy setting.

Nice. No interiors, sadly, but the exterior details are amazing.

I need to bookmark this when I'm not at work.

Back to the Vignettes, I haven't read/saw/whatever the first two vignettes, so I'll take other peoples word on those... I like the last one, although I'm not sure what exactly Venetian Football is. Is it kind of like Water Polo? I'll take on the role of straight man: Sir Clark of Kent... Clark Kent...
