Re: CCC XX - Forest hideout
Nice work. I've always liked autumn scenes.

Re: Redwall Abbey
Cool corner with some nice coloring. I don't believe I've seen a Redwall-themed castle before, so props for originality as well.

Re: Building musings
One thing that came to me today is that a certain level of realism has been always part of my builds. What do I mean by that? Well that the stairs had to fit a minifigure, bed had to be the right size and so on. Traditionally, this how I have thought and tried to build. One thing I've realized is t...

Re: What was your first LEGO set?
Bruce, I apologize if I'm necro-posting by pulling up a thread that's a few months old, but I'm hoping to be excused given how quiet the board is these days. Anyway, I believe my first Lego set was some sort of car, but it has been so long that my memories of it are vague. The first set I really rem...

Re: Lego Material Handler Excavator
MOCs like this are not my usual fare, but I like what you've put together. So often the construction vehicle creations have a very "Technic" feel to them, so it's nice to see smooth lines, etc. as something different.

Re: Looking out to Sea
I think this is nice. I'm not sure the water technique quite works, but it's good to see some innovation. Suggestion: What you tried "sculpting" the smaller water pieces behind the large transparent parts to make underwater scenes or something? Nevertheless, good work and good luck with th...

Excellent detail, color, etc. Also, I appreciate the true gentleman / gentlewoman's choice of using the old Dragon Masters flag. I hope we see much more from you.

Re: Battle of Hastings by James Pegrum and Jimmy Clinch
I love the scale of this! The final scene as the battle commences has all the foreboding it deserves: here, the English, after finally -finally- shaking off the Viking menage that had plagued them for 300 years are about to be subjected to Francophone conquerers who, ironically, are the descendants ...

Re: (LCC) Checking the Inventory
You have a lot of nice detail for a small scene. That said, the floor patterns don't survive into the complete MOC since everything else covers them up. Still, nice work.

I like your approach to the trees. I might refine the deer a bit more, but other than that it looks very nice.

All I can say is that I can't way to see the finished project. Keep up the fantastic work.
Edit: Also, I admire your mix of old gray and new. I've never quite been brave enough to put them together often.

I've decided to come out of a two year Dark Age just to get excited about and to purchase this set. I can't wait.
