Re: Castle 2016?

I'm one of the ones hoping fantasy has run its course in the castle line. I'm more of a human v. human fan. I can't really explain it, the dwarves, trolls, and undead that I have piles of just don't do anything for me. When I set up a scene or display I always go to my human factions and the fantasy...

Re: London Toy Fair reports - no castle

It would be a great disappointment for me if any future castle sets contained flesh tone figures. It has been laborious enough brick-linking yellow heads to replace all of those in the LotR-Hobbit sets.

Re: Battle of the Castle Sets: 7187 vs 70402

I had to go with 70402 simply because of its modularity and the fact that it can be incorporated into 70404. Two sets go great with a single castle. I'd love for any future castle sets to take advantage of such a construction technique! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v48/Zelkfried/LEGO%20Castle%2...

Re: Elves

I picked up one of almost everything from the original Disney Princess line. I substituted the minidolls for proper yellow figures and incorporated the 'colorful' landscape into my castle world. I plan on doing the exact same thing with this Elves line. It's just a far-off land that some of my more ...

Re: 6085 Black Monarch's Castle vs 6080 King's Castle

At first I thought it would be a tough decision, but then it became clear. It might be superficial, but the shield/lance decor on the KC is just so attractive. Also, as rogue27 mentioned, KC's ability to expand via other modular sets is a feature I wish would be explored more fully even today.

Re: April Fools Day Joke

Ooo, very clever if true. I don't pass through CC anymore as much as I'd like to, but I certainly stopped by to check in on their classic april fools day pranks.

Re: The Worst King

King Morcia hands down. He has awful taste! His soldiers look like jelly beans and his castle *shiver*. He attaches catapults to horses! Need I say more??

Re: LOTR and the hobbit lego

I do plan on changing all of my flesh tone LotR heads to yellow, so I am going to have to come up with something else for Legolas. Thankfully the orcs and goblins etc. will still be fine. :]

Re: Favorite Top 3 Lego Castle Sets You Own

1.) 6086: Black Knight's Castle -In my opinion, Lego's best looking castle. The set includes a full gatehouse, numerous interior features like a small building where the knights can eat and drink, and a well! Tons of soldiers, great barding, and awesome heraldry. 2.) 6090: Royal Knight's Castle -My ...

Re: Lego 10223 Kingdoms Joust Exclusive

This is just so awesome that I had to take a breath before scrolling down to each next picture. I have to have two for sure, to complete the back and make that beautiful scene, but a part of me wants four so I could make a complete circle. Oh, and four Black Falcon knights wouldn't hurt. ;]

Re: Weekly Set Re-Review: Knight's Stronghold

A great set for many reasons. As a stand-alone, it offers great playability with the trebuchet that does fire, and it isn't too bad either! A good assortment of minifigs and pieces, and it looks great. When combined with Monarch's Castle you can expand to create a massive fortress. (See my flickr) I...

Re: Weekly Set Review: Prison Carriage Rescue

From the pictures, I really didn't have much enthusiasm toward this set. Once I purchased it and had it completed, it actually changed my mind. Sure, from a plausible standpoint the cart does not make much sense, but as a fun little cart, it is actually kind of charming. It is much more fun now that...

Re: If you could bring back any Castle Subtheme...

I'd love to see a modern version of the Wolfpack. They could have a similiar role with the two new factions as they did with the old, some sort of bandits or mercenaries. They wouldn't need a large hideout, just some camping areas to keep their sets minimal compared to the larger factions with a few...

Re: What were your first Castle sets

I believe the very first Lego Castle set I ever receieved was 6044 King's Carriage . I remember being at my Grandma's house the day I got it, and it must have been a birthday or Christmas. It is still to this day one of my all time favorite Lego carts/wagons/carriages. The 6044 you see in my Flickr ...

Re: Favorite Top 3 Lego Castle Sets You Own

This is incredibly hard, but thankfully it isn't favorite SINGLE set you own. Let's see... 6086 Black Knight's Castle 6090 Royal Knight's Castle 10193 Medieval Market Village While I love King's Castle, Black Monarch's Castle, and Black Falcon's Fortress for their modularity (pics in my Flickr), I'v...
