Re: Rebuilding 6081 King's Mountain Fortress

Actually, this is one of my favorite castles as well. Perhaps it's just nostalgia as it was my first castle. The Queen, ghost, and the black bird (I like to think of it as a raven) really add a lot to this set. It seemed giant at the time, but now it seems pretty small compared to the other Castles....

a lot of countries (and kings) use lions for their insignia. england uses 3 lions. i doubt you can tie the crusaders back to any particular country. I'm not saying that Lego meant it to be that way, I just find that the Lion on Castile's crest is much closer to that one than others that I've seen. ...

Crusaders = Spanish?

Not sure where to post this, but it has to do with Lego sets so yeah... never would have thought of this, but I'm a history major and I have been studying the kingdom of Castile in Spain. I really like the windows and the decorations around the door, but I think that the stonework is a bit too much. I know the more diverse is supposed to be better, but I think it's only up to a certain extent. Nonetheless I still like it a lot.

I think that the Fright Knights weren't bad as a whole, especially compared to KK2. For me they contributed some really useful torsos, shields (the only KK2 shield I like is Jayko's), bats, chains, brown spears, short swords, helmets (minus the overuse of the bat lord), a witch, a black dragon, a b...

I love the originality displayed in the Castle, the action is really awesome, I like all the different weapons, but I wish there was a little bit more uniformity when it came to how the figures looked.

The barricade is wicked sweet and the soldiers look great. Unfortunately I also think the terrain is too blocky. I think the attacking group is gonna lose even though it's a great plan, I mean one guy has a quarterstaff haha. And Rocky River Retreat, I forgot all about that set! I have it. http://ww...

I don't understand why everyone hates an army of all skeletons. We have so many human factions, and yeah dwarves and orcs are cool but I see nothing wrong with fighting an army of skeletons. There are lots of good computer games where you fight skeletons as well as orcs and stuff. It helps '(because...
