I vote for the Chess King, who had no kingdom (or horse) with which to bargain.

Re: LEGO Castle 70404 - King's Castle
Okay, my bad, I see it now. I had been seeing the pictures from the smaller screen of my phone, but on the PC they are much clearer now. I was sort of horrified by some of the design elements of the large King's Castle that had me overlooking some details. It seems like the sets are quite incomplete...

Re: LEGO Castle 70404 - King's Castle
I am so disappointed in the Castle offering. The Great Helm new to the Kingdoms theme is sadly not present, but the design and coloring of these sets are so bland. I am planning on skipping most and I have been a die hard Castle nut my whole life, I may pick up some minifigure heavy sets, but since ...

Re: Opinions on the new swords
My Elvish Legion has been using katana blades since 1999. Generally I prefer the older and more rigid plastic of the older versions, and any that offer a variety of holding positions due to standard "system" construction.

Re: Series 9 - Castle builders rejoice!!
The case distribution is bent toward army building the Castle hero/villain the Space hero/villain and the City Cop, but I would like to see more of the figures represented above two per case. The sort time looking for those that are lower in representation makes it better to just buy a whole case.

Re: Pics of New Hobbit Sets
I'm really nervous that I'll somehow miss the Elf Archer polybag. I've had no trouble finding all the other ones at Toys R Us, but this one is really going to be difficult I think. It could be the timing of it's release, but it's also one that you know everybody wants at least 4 of them. Work to do ...

Re: Rumorville.... The return of the Castle theme?
They are apparently listed on Lego's 2013 database, but no details. Other sites have claimed communication from Lego stating that they are to be released in August 2013. Lego has been increasingly successful at keeping the hush on new in-house projects. Sounds plausible, and from the rumored names, ...

I don't know about these. They remind me very strongly of TMNT, of which I am not fond. I suppose I can make a decision once I see the actual product, but I don't feel the pull to these.

I do mostly Town/City and Castle so if it is real I am very happy with the list here.

Re: CC Set Review: 1974 Smuggler's Hayride
Nearly a perfect set from the Forestmen/Castle theme. Only nearly perfect in that the crowd control barriers from the Town series seem(ed) out of place on the cart. If they had any brains they would have re-imagined and rereleased this set with those pieces replaced by the large pasture fences that ...

Nice work, and please pardon the critique, but your Rattler is missing it's primary weapon feature: The tank-busting gattling cannon. Other than that your part and color choices are superb

Re: Pics of New Hobbit Sets
In the book, the Goblin King is about to eat Thorin when Gandalf comes in to the rescue with wizardry and Glamdring, so he's always been depicted as an especially large and foul Orc. I'm just more upset that my favorite Hobbit moments seem glossed over. To me this is a journey and development of the...

Re: Arkham Asylum Breakout
I have the old Batman Arkham set, and while it was welcome as an addition at the time it is not a great set design, sort of like the first Harry Potter Hogwarts. This new update is not only a remarkably more mature building set, but it more accurately reflects the Batman Arkham game as well so it wi...
