Wow... At first glance, it looks like Playmobil! :)

Excellent choice of colors.

But wait - don't all image hosting sites suffer from their fair share of huge, blurry pics? :)

Re: CCC VII Team Challenge Signup list

You Admins are so funny... :)

I want to participate, but I don't have time to build so I am not joining. I do not want to be ridiculed mercilessly or beat up by my teammates!

One of these years, I will join for sure...

Re: Lego piece naming

Hehe interesting article. My wife calls this a picnic basket: http://img.bricklink.com/P/1/2432.gif Nomenclature has always interested me, so I'm quick to adopt the official naming scheme. The funny thing is that our naming scheme (one used on Peeron and Bricklink) differs slightly from LEGO's. Then...

Re: Eldorado Fortress 2009

Love it! One of my favourite sets growing up. I like the small details (1x1 round plates, 1x2 tiles), as well as the "baseplate" you've built yourself - guess I'm repeating Bruce N H!

Maybe it's low tide right now? :)

Re: Transitioning: Five Years After the Color Change

I'm pretty much like you, chuck. I stockpiled the old colors, don't buy in bulk any longer, keep the new colours separate, and only buy new sets that are exceptional (i.e. MMV, Green Grocer, etc).

However I haven't opened/built any of my new sets due to time constraints... :(

Re: My first Castle MOC in 7 years! (Work in Progress)

Great work as usual... Thanks for posting all of the in-progress pictures - especially a screenshot of one of the instruction steps. I have numerous 2x4 OLG bricks and it's nice to be reminded that castle walls don't have to be built out of 1xn bricks. :)

Yes, I think I will get this set too! I also think the price isn't bad, at least the US retail price. :)

Hopefully the LEGO retail store will have this in stock when I drop by in the near future.

Yah I also love the old ads, from before the days of various powerful graphic editing software packages.

My favourite diorama was the following, from the 200 Idea Book:

Re: MMV preorder at Walmart

I understand that TLG is out there to make money first and foremost, but I wish they would stop calling things "exclusive" when they really aren't. Or maybe I'm just expecting too much, because it is LEGO's right to change their mind about a set's exclusivity. I bet the people at S@H aren'...
