Hey Lenny, Nice article and thanks for mentioning the five-wide window :) The instructions show the original method of 5-wide windows, but I tried some other ideas. I like this method better for its symmetry, it's just a little harder to deal with the roof: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery....

Nice job! I really like the shop. It's nice to see someone else use 5-wide windows. I may have to do another letter soon :)

Very nice work James! I may have to go dust off my bricks... For those who think or say, "just another timber house", try building one. You'll gain a whole new appreciation for them.

Hi dario, I'm still checking in most days. I just haven't had much time to build anything! I got a new job and have been really busy every weekend, so I haven't had much time for the brick. The next letter will arrive after a rainy weekend that I am actually at home :) It's hard to stay inside when ...

The seed part is a cool idea! I like many of the others do not have any of those parts. Maybe you could change the part to something a little more common? Thanks for helping out with the contests!

The fastest and easiest but not necessarily cheapest way to any part is www.bricklink.com. You should check there.

Hi,
I made some minifig scale stuff including a working trebuchet, onager and ballista. The best I could muster was around 6 feet for a projectile. You can look at old posts here to find out more info. Here is a link to some pics: http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/2787

Hi, I don't like the stair placement to get from the ground floor to the second floor. Most buildings would have stairs go up from the landing by the entrance. This way people wouldn't have to climb the outer stairs, go down the stairs inside, then climb more stairs to go up. Did the way the buildin...

Thank you for all of the kind comments! So when are you going to just start giving us the plans for these? like on a little cd? Hmmm... I had thought about it, but wasn't sure if anyone would be interested. Instructions are a ton of work, even for a small model. You can probably make a pretty close ...
