Goblin Witch's Hut
Hi Everyone! Long time no post. Life has made lego take a backseat but I still get some builds in every once in a while. Check out the Goblin Witch's Hut, inspired by many of you. I also completed a few other castle MOCs as well... [url=h...

Trivel Castle
Wow, I can't believe my log in info still works! Howdy Everyone. I've been on a building hiatus for the last few years as I was finishing some non-lego career related stuff. I even sold the bulk of my collection to make room in the house and wondered if lego was something I would go back to. But bui...

Orc Diner & Wizard's Cottage
Hi Everyone, I don't make a habit of posting too much anymore. Thought I'd pop by an announce two MOCs: http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4048/4676379418_8329904fdb_t.jpg http://www.flickr.com/photos/gipmetro/sets/72157624093674191/ http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4070/4657428282_969429dd9c_t.jpg http:/...

Thanks for all the positive feedback. As to the trees: good point. They were added at the last minute so it wouldn't look too bare. Although, a true castle would likely clear all trees from the area so archers and such would have a clear view. When I put the skinny trees down I imagined they grew in...

Z-plan Tower House
Howdy! I've finished the main structure of a tower house I've been working on for a while. There is still a lot of detailing to be done, but I'm a bit exhausted with this for now. I'll likely shelf this for a bit and build some other stuff. PLMKWYT- I'm open to criticism. I may not incorporate the c...

Re: How come...
... that all the Americans here have such an interest in the European Middle Ages? As there is no sign of knights or any castles in your lands, how did you became a castle fan? I was in Europe last summer and saw some cowboy toys at a store. I wondered the same thing; why are Europeans into cowboys...

:) Thanks for the positive feedback. I'm sometimes critical of others who seem to update their BS folders regularly just for a constant bump in attention-- really wasn't my intention. As I was telling David, after the last HoB the castle was taken apart. The black and grey castle is a style I've bee...

"A Song of Fire & Ice" to become HBO series
I searched around but didn't see that this has been brought up. Hope this is the right area (it never is  ) A Variety article states George RR Martin's epic series will be made into a series on HBO. This is confirmed on GRRM's official website. If anyone has seen the HBO series Rome, I think w...

I would like to see a picture of it from the front, I didn't see one of those shots in the folder. Also, love the custom crew, they add to the flair of the ship. Costum fig gear rules! I added a picture taken of the front. It'll be up after moderation. There is room to detail the interior of...

I'm guessing this is only a light raider, since it doesn't look like it could hold a whole lot of loot. Maybe it's just the photography, but the old brown/redbrown mix doesn't seem too clashing here. One more thing. Are there interiors for the cabin and forecastle? Yes, the ship is meant to be smal...

Praise for a great builder
Hello all, I don't post much, and I've not written a post of this nature before. But I have had no problem raising my voice when there were things I didn't like. So why not be just as vocal about the things I do like? Like many of you, I spend a lot of time researching, sketching, and thinking about...

defunct story creation (and more)
Hello everyone, I had been planning a short story for the Classic Castle Story Telling Contest , but it doesn't look like its going to happen. I'm currently moving and starting a new job*; I'll likely not be able to get my lego-room together and active for a few months. Anyway, here is a concept MO...

I have to say that this is one of THE most unique castle mocs I have ever seen. I love the roofs. Are the red roofs pods(cant remeber name) lids? Thanks. I was trying to avoid the typical tudor village and grey monolithic castle. My collection began with the black and grey castles and began growing...
