Re: Castle at Brickworld 2009

Looks like all I will have this year is the river (and of course a bunch of minifigs), as my ruins have a ways to go and I need more parts for them. and of course I need to save my money for BrickWorld. I will have more stuff next year.

Re: Castle at Brickworld 2009

I built some ruins (complete with ghost and skeleton :)) on a 32x32 baseplate. I really just threw them together using mainly spare parts from King's Castle Siege and 1x2x5s and 1x6x5s so it's not that great, but I think it turned out well enough to do its job so I am as of now planning to bring it....

Re: Castle at Brickworld 2009

That would be it. ;) I didn't remember who had the ponds, I think there was a second actually. But one should be enough as the other end of the river can flow into the lake/sea/ocean connecting the castle and pirate displays. And ya, those types of coincidences are nice. Also, I will have 8 vikings,...

Re: Castle at Brickworld 2009

Are you trying to get a list of all of the MOCs that will be in the display? I am bringing my river again, hopefully the people with the ponds will bring those too. It's on a 32x32 baseplate. Not sure what else I will be bringing, I have to decide what to build first. I will post here when I decide....

I am talking about this one: http://www.armorvenue.com/medieval-swor ... val-sword/

How accurate is it, appearance wise and material wise?

And what type of steel is most accurate?

Thanks.

Thanks. I am going to the Renaissance Festival this weekend and most likely Arms and Armor will be there because they were last year but their stuff is out of my price range unfortunately. I am still strongly considering this one: http://www.armorvenue.com/medieval-swords/early-medieval-sword/ So an...

Thanks for the replies! I am on a small budget unfortunately, but I will check out those sites. Thanks! Edit: I am mainly concerned with the appearance but also the material. Edit again: Since I don't have a job yet (I am getting an apple picking job in a few weeks but I'll only get about $1,000) an...

How historically accurate are these weapons?

I am wondering how historically accurate several weapons are. (for medieval Europe) Knight sword: http://www.trueswords.com/handandahalf-knights-sword-p-563.html Dagger: http://www.trueswords.com/knights-dress-dagger-p-885.html Another dagger: http://www.trueswords.com/knights-dress-dagger-p-875.htm...

Actually, LEGO got me interested in the medieval period. The things I like about it are: Knights' armor looks really cool and castles are awesome. Well, it's true, but for a more serious answer: It's far enough back that it's a lot different. Shortly after the medieval period, with the invention of ...

King's Castle Siege has a great break-away wall that could also work as a hidden entrance. You can download the instructions on LEGO.com in the customer service section to see it--it might give you some inspiration ;)

Nooooooooooooooo!!!! Of the thousands and thousands and thousands of MOCs I have seen (literally), this is one of my two favorites! (Along with the Winter Home of the Happy Sunshine People) I am really sad, and sorry, to hear this! It is so realistic and simple yet attractive at the same time (on th...

I am going to BrickWorld this year, and I am only 15; my parents are only coming on the public days but I am registered. You don't have to bring any MOCs but you can if you want. When you sign up you check the boxes for MOCs that you are bringing for joint displays, and if you want to have your own ...

I am working on a 32x32 landscape as well as 2 CCC wall sections that I will bring. I am also going to bring my Rogues' Fortress. It's not that great, and it's small, but other members of my LUG think I should bring it. You can see it here: http://mocpages.com/moc.php/50995 I am really excited to se...
