Re: Lands of Classic Castle - Discussion Thread

I am really liking this project and it just might motivate me to build again. I don't know if this has been suggested/thought over before (I didn't bother reading all 20 pages), but I think it would be a good idea to have a weekly and monthly update/journal/list on the important things that have hap...

Re: Colossal Castle Contest 9: Winning Entries

Congratulations to the winners and thanks to everyone who participated and made the last months of 2012 a great time with many new MOCs and ideas! The variety of styles and techniques is getting greater every year and it must have been hard for the judges to compare the different entries and pick th...

Re: Colossal Castle Contest 8: Winning Entries!

Congratulations Derfel Cadarn and other winners!
The entries of this year's CCC were once again pushing the limit of what is possible to build with LEGO bricks, and i really enjoyed looking at them and learning from them.

Medieval City

It has been a while since I posted a MOC, but i have finally taken the time to take pictures of the upgraded version of my city that was part of the Lowlug castle layout at Fanwelt in germany a few months ago: http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5060/5413941511_62c5dcc74b_m.jpg Prhean by Daniel Z "D...

Re: Fanwelt 2010

I was just about to post a topic about Fanwelt, but i guess i was too slow for the almighty bruce, watcher of the castle MOCs :D Fanwelt is great, and the scale of some of the creations is massive. There are a few other new castle layouts but most have been on fanwelt before in 2008 (the siege of Mi...

Re: Ye Old Forge CCCVIII Medieval Maintenance

This is my favorite medieval house, and probably Castle MOC in general, of all time. The architecture is just perfect, and there is not a single part of the building i would change.
The only problem with this MOC is the lack of more pictures!

Re: Colossal Castle Contest 8

This year's categories look very promising and i can't wait to see what everyone will come up with!
My favorite is the castle evolution category, for obvious reasons

Re: Asterix

Very nice! The look of the nose-less face doesn't look right though, but i see why you went for a nose-less face because Asterixs nose would be too large to print 'realistically'. Maybe you could make one out of some LEGO piece and glue it to the face? (since you aren't going for a purist fig anyway...

Re: Medieval fortress being built in Arkansas, USA

I have known about the one in France for a while after reading about it in a book, and my dream is to once participate in the building progress to learn about primitive construction techniques and medieval life. First i will have to learn some more French or it will be hard to communicate, and i wil...

Re: Stretching your brick collection

I also frequently use those bricks with pins and clips as a replacement for overpriced 1x2 bricks. They are not always easy to find in large quantities, but i have managed to collect about 1000 of them. They are great if you are not building an interior, although the 1x2 bricks with clip and some 1x...

Re: European Classic-Castle meet 2010??

What do I have to pay as exhibitor ? Nothing at all, exhibiting is free. You do need to pay to stay somewhere during the night. Are there shops/stores with Lego ? Yes, there are some private sellers and there is also a LEGO brand store in Cologne. Would you guys trade Lego ? I probably won't take a...
