Re: Hey ol' friends, hey new faces!
Honestly I didn't expect to see myself returning so soon either, what with getting married, going to school, having a baby and all that. However, being a stay at home step-dad at the moment granted me a leisurely chunk of free time every afternoon and I feel like getting involved in the community ag...

What is this place, it seems vaguely familiar...
Well, never the less it seems to be brimming with copious amounts of underlings and minions...
I think I shall remain here yet a while longer.
Nice to see you all again.

Re: The elf!
Exceptional. Nothing less than I'd expect from Lego, and I bet you all can expect to see more elves appear here and there at the very least. I will buy a a few sets perhaps and mod the hair color to whatever looks good.

9.6mm or roughly 3/8ths of an inch. ;) It doesn't matter if it's a little off, it's not very noticeable when a whole display is put together. Thanks Brenden. Perfectly the dimensions I needed. Just found out I get to g to home depot on payday as well as the halloween store. The should be fun. My MO...

Re: Base8? Great? Arg...
Hey thanks you guys for suggestions. I'm sure I have enough plates to do as Robin Hood advised but if I can I'd rather use cheap home depot plywood so those measurements from somebody who already knows them would be great if not it's not a difficult task to measure them myself. I like that idea beca...

Re: Base8? Great? Arg...
Build it on a flat baseplate--sticking pieces of foamcore under the baseplate brings it up to Base8 standard heigth. Yes but as Blue and I discovered and many of you likely already noticed as well, that foam-core stuff really doesn't work well, it makes the base-plates to flexible and fig posing an...

This is a question for more experienced convention attendees and veteran CC members. I have a MOC in mind that I've already begun construction on. It's a project geared towards showcasing at brickcon10 next year, so I'll have some time. Th thing is, I don't have enough of the pieces I require to bot...

Re: BrickCon galleries
 Hey guys, I like to leave a recap each event I attend, share my experience with various aspects of tthem that leave a real impression on me. First of all, it was great to meet some many of friends from the Classic Castle group. It was truely humbling having no moc of my own, due to traveling ...

I couldn't build a structure that cool if you held a ray gun to my head. Let alone on a 32x32 baseplate. Skills my man.

Re: Abbey of Saint Rumare
As always your creations are sublime. This is no exception AC. One of your best works, from the brickwork, to the angles of the architecture to the little details covering the whole gigantic structure. Especially love that black+red guy ripping the other guy in half and that one interior detail you ...
