Cool little set, I once found a shelf full of this and the other promo Shell sets for 99 cents each at a discount store, so for the price, there are some pretty useful pieces.

Pretty good stuff for '06. Set designs were pretty crappy, but the actually content and pieces were pretty awesome and well worth the over priced sets. So overall, a decent lago castle year.

It looks cool, but it's definetly not the first chess set I'd get.

I recently acquired this set and I like it alot. One thing that draws me to late 70's and early 80's sets are the quantity of basic bricks. You could build a bunch of different creations in different themes with this set. I also like the minifigures alot. The horses are cool but tend to fall apart....

Yeah, I freaked when I first saw this on Brickset... awesome...

Dude, you rock! Your like, the only other person I know who likes those sets. I think it was a good thing for lego castle, and they really should have darker, creepier, gothic castle sets.
