Re: Colossal Castle Contest 7: Winning Entries!

Congratulations to the winners! Especially to the Master Builder DNL, who is an inspiration for a long time!

A contest with a high level of entries. Candy for the eye...

Re: Messed up 7079 : Drawbridge Defense

I am also very interested in the above asked question of weight. From what I understand Lego monitors quality by weight (hence often the small pieces an extra part, because the deviation is coming close to the weight of those pieces). If the weight of the mixed bags is similar something got on the w...

Again, I am speechless about this creation...

Ok, not too speechless to not ask the following question:

I really liked the barrels and looked at them closely. Very nice find, do I see it correctly you made them of two of these: http://www.peeron.com/inv/parts/4424

I think this CCC was exceptionally difficult to judge, because of the large number of great entries!

The display of techniques and awesome constructions is just amazing and very stimulating.

Congrats to the winners and those who deserve an honorable mention!

A lot of wise words are spoken and I really want to put emphasis on the post of Dale. But to support the OP in general I would encourage you to look at the City planes or Cost guard helicopter. I understand the need of those pieces to reduce the cost of the set, but those pieces are BIG. So basicall...

Working on first landscaping; need advice

Dear CC community Since I have moved to my new place I unpacked all my lego stuff and started to construct some of my Forestmen sets (the tree and the rock-shelter-cave set). Now I would like to embed them in some nice landscaping made by myself. After reading through all the tutorials on this site ...

Same for me, I have all instructions still carefully stored, even from the 70s and 80s sets. Some of the boxes I still have, but most of those are gone.

I regulary rebuild according to the instructions to have an overview of my collection, so I still use them as well...

At first glance I want to fully agree with the OP and bring back some of the "old" sets, but after carefully thinking it over, I wish to disagree and would rather see NEW sets of similar quality appear. Altough some very nice sets of the past are not part of my collection, it is also a bit...

New Castle Fig?

...or Pirate?

I am in doubt what it is... I think it can be both... What do you think?

In my opinion a very weak chess set. There is a small positive note and thats the scorpion soldiers. One more hypothetic question. Here you see a close-up of the "blue"-side troops... http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemPic.asp?M=cas276 How would this set increase in your value if more pro...

In my legoverse Skelletons are animated 'creatures', coming back to life by powerful dead-magic. This magic consumes the remaining of the life energy of the deceased to re-bind its bones and to give it some basic intelligence, to move and to attack. If hit by any weapon, even hit by fist, this 'ener...
