Re: My first MOC! Royal Knights beach stronghold

Yes I have built things with Legos before but this is much better than anything I've done before. http://www.flickr.com/photos/76575933@N02/6918974227/ . ~KnightMan~ A lot of AFOL would say: too many burps, too many panel pieces, you only used the flat building plates(blue, green and sand), used th...

Re: LEGO Friends line

My two year old daughter walked through Target and just stopped and said "I want that one, all of that one". I would say that they did an excellent job on selling them. They are well presented, look contemporary. The sets look solid too, unlike the previous lines that looked all "airy...

Re: Selling MISB Lego 7094

It's going for a minimum of $200 for MISB on bricklink, but it looks like people are paying around $250 for it recently. http://www.bricklink.com/catalogPG.asp?S=7094-1 Do people really buy sets on bricklink? I never thought of it as a place to get a good deal on sets. Guess I should try it out. Ed...

Selling MISB Lego 7094

I was wondering what a decent price would be to sell the King's Castle Siege: 7094? What do you think a good price would be, maybe for ebay or whatnot?

This is MISB

Re: Medieval Bakery

Nothing stand out of place... which is saying something for Legos. Great use of colors as well, nothing was too brown, bley, white or what-have you. Plus, I am a sucker for tudor with Legos... seeing as my first Lego Castle set had it in it. I still have those yellow tudor wall pieces!

Re: What were your first Castle sets

6074 Black Falcon's Fortress along with 6066 Camouflaged Outpost. It was the best combo ever... I think my dad loved Legos more than I did, and he didn't even have them as a kid. Robin hood versus the Sheriff of Nottingham. No wonder I became a fan for life. Those were the best sets, imho. Of course...

Re: The OTHER 2012 Lego Castle

Man, gotta love the wall that turns into stairs. Cool looking castle, the panels don't bother me really, since a lot of detail has been put into it and it looks very good, while maintaining a legitimate feel. No way I can simply just buy this with all the LOTRO sets coming out. Too much good stuff a...

Re: LotR sets revealed!

Wow... I have to officially come back to buying more Legos after a two year hiatus. Although I have been waiting for Lego LOTRO, the sets seem too childish for my tastes. Don't get me wrong, I'm buying all of them and then some. But the overall result is very much like Harry Potter: comercialized an...

Wolfpack all the way! They were the most useful all around and one of my favorites!

The Magical Workshop was fantastic... it was the first castle set I owned with the new roof slope pieces. I think it looked great.

I always used them as mercenaries, and occasionally as marauders. They followed gold, not morals and were for hire, not stealing in their free time.

Ah, more licensed Legos... which was what I considered part of the fall of modern Lego (sure it gets the kids, but they don't use their full imagination with licensed products). They have to do what sells, since they're a business. But Toy Story, which came out years and years ago??? And Cars??? Pri...

I don't think that there was a better series than the crusaders vs. the black knights. This is my childhood Lego, and these little minipacks meant as much as the castles to me. If any set gets a 10/10, than this one is it. What more could you ask of a minifigure pack?

Not big on this set. The whole concept is great... one of my favorites, actually. I had the black siege wall back in the day. It attatched to my Black Monarch Castle, making it uber large! It's just the colors of this one that detract from a great idea.

Love the giant crossbow outside. It just looks convincing, with the bridge and rock walls with wooden defenses.
