Software for lego projects

Hi all Long Time ago I was using a software to do Lego projects. As I've been out of Lego (was it called dark ages?) For a long time, I would like to ask what is the best software to use in 2024. I remember there was also an official Lego one that was neat (Lego digital designer I think was the name...

Re: Question from a folder builder

While it might not be exactly what you are looking for, I recently learned about the existence of this part. https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=3652#T=C While it is slightly smaller than 2x2 to facilitate it's original purpose, can only be attached from the top, and is only in ...

Re: Question from a folder builder

Thanks all for the replies.. indeed those parts seem what I look for and I assume they are new as I've never seen them. Thing is they are rare with few colours available and, more important, it seems there is no part to "close" the arch, as the second part opens another arch with a 90 degr...

Re: Question from a folder builder

Yes indeed I mean something similar. But does the part to complete the arch exist?

Question from a folder builder

Dear all, A question from a former Lego castle builder. In the past I remember we have been struggling with double arched windows or bifora or porticoes. We were forced to use 2studs columns (see pictures). My question is: has Lego or afols solved the problem? Has Lego released new pieces to have 1 ...

Re: My attempt to GAME OF THRONES minifigs

I was inspired very much from the show in doing the minifigs.
Actually I discovered the universe through the show first, and during season 2 I started reading the books, which I almost finished now.
Looking forward season 3.

Re: My attempt to GAME OF THRONES minifigs

Sir Jorah, Daenerys, Cersei and Jaime II, Arya and... Ned? Anyway the figs look really really good. Uff nobody seems to recognize the third couple: it is Ygritte and Jon Snow! You're not the first one who does not recognize them. I see that you didn't used fleshies. I decided to use them because I ...

My attempt to GAME OF THRONES minifigs

Hi all, I haven't posted MOCs in a long time since I am in a kind of dark age. I am still following the community and buying some LEGO sets from time to time, but I have not built anything in a long time. I have done something with LDD on the computer and build something, but since it is unfinished ...

Re: CC Set Review: 6011 Black Knight's Treasure

Oh my god!!! I am pretty sure this was my first castle set ever. I remember playing with it so much!!! I opened and closed the trunk so many times that at the end it was not possible anymore to keep it together: the cover was always falling. That was a great set, we saw many carts after that but thi...

Re: CC Set Review: 6066 Camouflaged Outpost

I had this set and I loved it. Playability 100% with the secret passage, the tower on the tree and the openable cave.
The minifigs are more or less all the same, but my favourite one has always been the one riding the horse.
Great set.

Re: LotR sets revealed!

I built yesterday the helm's deep.
It's a great set, much better than what I thought when I saw the first pictures. It's expensive, though.

Re: LotR sets revealed!

Hi all, I looked with attention the hi-res pictures and I have to say that the sets look better and better. The minifigs especially are nicely done: Theoden above all as other said. I will buy for sure the Uruk-Kai army and I'd really like the Helm's deep. After having seen the way in which they rea...

Re: LOTR and the hobbit lego

Thanks for the pictures. Boromir looks much better here, but in my opinion he still doesn't look like... Boromir in the movies. Gandalf remains disappointing: he doesn't have anything special: he looks like a fig we can do ourselves withe the parts we have. I don't know: he misses something. I like ...
