Re: Faerie Flowers

This is incredible. You two come up with some real out-of-the-box ideas, and then execute wonderfully.

The little pink flowers are my favorites, but the entire display really is a delight for the eyes. :spin:

Re: LCC: Oasis Watchtower

I really like the cacti & thin palm trees. Also, great choice on the background color; it brings out the water color and highlights all the earth tones well.

Re: Nazgûl

You sure manage to pack a lot of detail into a small space. All the assorted gore is really well done, especially the blood pooling off the edge of the base. I'm not sure if it's the camera angle but in the second photo the torso looks very tube-ish from front to back. I know you tapered it from top...

Re: Earth Elemental Dragon

Thanks a bunch everyone! I'm happy with how the dragon turned out, but am honestly more satisfied with the tree.

If only I had the parts to make a small forest of them.

Thanks again!

Earth Elemental Dragon

Here's an elemental dragon I whipped up for Siercon and Coral's dragon contest: http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7064/6797007794_1a2e8e9995.jpg Earth Dragon CC by :jovian: , on Flickr http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7069/6943122637_b722a2ac14_t.jpg Earth Dragon 03 by :jovian: , on Flickr http://farm8.sta...

Re: MOC: Tahnakai Falls

I am planning to attend BF with my wife and kids for the first time this year- not sure if I will have time to be an exhibitor. Will you be there? Oh yeah, I will be there. Like Blake said ^, there's a slowly forming collaborative display for castle this year. This would make a most excellent addit...

Thanks for pointing that out, as I don't have time to keep up with each technique usage.

I still think the claws give a cleaner, layered snow effect.

Re: MOC: Tahnakai Falls

There are a ton of great details going on here. Your stonework is quite impressive, especially the large bridge and the integration of the round tower-to-square base at the end of that bridge. Really nice cliff and waterfall sculpting as well. The interior courtyards and irregular layout are also qu...

Using the claws embedded into the tree for snow is quite brilliant!

Very pleasing amount of detail throughout the display. I really like the scale of the house and the roof color!

Re: Colossal Castle Contest 9: Winning Entries

Oh WOW! This was my first CCC and I'd like to thank everyone who entered for making this a very enjoyable contest. There were so many great entries that it couldn't have been easy to judge them all, so thanks to the judges and admins as well. Congrats to all the other winners, and here's looking for...

Re: CCC IX: Maison de la Motte (wooden castle)

I like that the walls are made of stacks of 1x1s instead of log panels. Definitely gives it a more authentic look. Great job on this!

Re: CCCIX: Gathering of the Clouds

All of your LOTR builds have been inspiring in their techniques and presentation. This is particularly appealing and is definitely one of the best LEGO trebuchets yet. I hope some of these make it to BF this year.
