Re: Low quality figs in non-regular sets.

I've spoken with the head of the quality department, and he's let me know that they're aware of the issues and 'cracking down on it'. The extended line (keychains, magnets, games (but not LGS), etc.) is in a different supply chain and therefore not our regular production facilities. the people in t...

Wouldn't this slippery sensation be caused by the mold release stuff they put in the molds so the plastic bricks don't stick in there? Personally, I haven't noticed anything strange.

I love the bard idea (printed bar flute or some new instrument element would be great). A monk would be interesting...with the typical slope waist-down approach we've seen with gowns for his robe...though I'd be a bit surprised to see LEGO go with such an obvious religious figure, so a secular-frien...

It's easy to think up ideas, the hard part is getting LEGO to listen. Actually, I think LEGO makes a more honest and deliberate effort to listen to its fan-base than most toy companies. The hard part is incorporating things like this into a set that's a guaranteed seller that retailers will want to...

DS just wanted to comment/give a pat on the back. You've handled this topic really quite well. The question sposed were tough but good and the answers very useful. Agreed. I think people need to stop and think for a moment: how many other toy companies have fan oriented ambassador programs? How man...

I can't put myself in Dan's shoes, but I basically feel the same way about this new set as I did about 3739 when it was released. "Cool! I want that!"

The two things that come into my mind most while reading through this thread: 1) Why would I be upset that LEGO is providing us with a model that is of a higher design quality than usual...especially when it includes attractive features that I couldn't find in my own collection (civilian figs, whole...

I may have already said too much. From this thread:

Well, there is that new set coming out next year, so it seems they're headed in that direction, at least in a preliminary sense. It's a smaller set, but that thing is really rocking the "classic yellow castle" vibe. If it sells well, I'd wager we'll see more Creator/play theme hybrids.

As the father of a 5 year old girl, I find this conversation fascinating. :) Although exposed to System scale first, Belville was a pretty big draw to my little girl when she saw it. I find System to be better overall due to Belville’s overuse of groove/peg elements, giant bricks (24x24), trans-pink...

Given the option for variety, I'd take it every time...it's really just a matter of what's financially viable for TLG.

There ya go. For some reason I missed it. While I realize parts show up on Bricklink in unusual colors from time to time, and it could just be an error, I'm still not prepared to dismiss this altogether...it might just be a color variation produced as a result of LEGO's recent growing pains suffered...

The first listing's item description says it's old, and the Bricklink catalog doesn't list a dark brown bow and arrow in any set or gear. Either the seller mislabeled the listings or they are custom made. I hadn't noticed that the first one was listed as old, so that one, at least, appears to be mi...

I did notice a couple of Bricklink sellers in Germany with bows and quivers available in the newer dark brown. Those have never been released in a set in that color before, so I'd say that's a good sign.

I wouldn't mind seeing any of the items listed in the poll (so long as the shields had printing of some kind...and excluding the lance, of course), but I picked bows and quivers since they're something of a rarity these days. But as mentioned from the outset, they are still being actively produced a...
