Re: Weekly Set Review: Skeletons' Prison Carriage

This is a great cavalry builder for your skeleton forces. And as other have noted, it's hard to get a brown horse these days. My only complaint with this set is that all the little horns as well as the torches are really fragile. It's hard for my kids to play with this set without constantly rebuild...

Re: Weekly Set Review: Knight's Procession

This was my first Castle set, a Christmas gift from St. Nick, and I got it before I even knew Lego made castle sets. I remember being amazed at the cool new Lego swords, shields and helmets. It never even occurred to me at the time that wheels weren't very castle-ish. At that time anything that wasn...

Re: 7079 Drawbridge Defense Review (eurobricks)

This is definitely the must buy of the upcoming Castle sets. The figs look great, and personally I'm glad were seeing some more skellies. Sometimes Lego is too quick to sacrifice the old to make room for the new. The skeleton inclusion helps tie the 2007, 2008, & 2009 sets together. My boys will...

Re: A question about the Dwarf Mine track

My dwarves are most eager to see who can quaff the most ale while riding a mining cart down an incline.

Re: Review - 7041 - Troll Battle Wheel

To date, this set is one of very few sets that my one-year-old daughter can't seem to destroy (yet). She has laid waste to many a good Lego castle, but this wheel of death still rolls without any major repairs. Instead of smashing, she rolls it and smashes other sets with it. I'm amazed that even th...

While I like the drawbridge, I'm more interested in the Temple of Doom set. It looks like it could be easily made into an ultimate dwaf mine!

It's always good to see a little love spread the Avatar way. Nice work indeed.

My boys opened it day by day, taking turns, in December. The highlight by far for me was when I got home from work one night and asked them what they got that day. My wife just laughed and said that they didn't even bother putting it together. There she was, the jewel of the set, the peasant woman. ...

My younger son got this for Christmas and we put it together yesterday. It's a great little set. I wish Lego would make more sets in the $10 range. You seem to get a lot of set for the money. The blades and the catapult work very well, and the scale is nice too. My son commented on the lack of weapo...

Just a note for those of you with little kids, my boys got the bank for Christmas, and they love it. Despite the set being being mostly cardboard, and the build being 80% Technic, chances are very good that if you have little kids they'll like this set. My kids have "fed" the dragon many, ...

Personally I can't stand the colors, but my boys probably will. We'll get a smaller set or two for the rock monsters, but we'll probably pass on the line overall. Just not enough space and money.

My boys are taking turns working their way thru the doors. I had to explain that the dragon on the box is not behind any of the doors. I'm also hoping that my four year old won't get the barmaid door as he is sure to be unimpressed.

No doubt little kids get more excited over gold chests than wooden ones, and I'm sure most treasure chests weren't painted gold. However, it is certainly more realistic to have vessels that look like they are painted. It near impossible for unfinished wood to survive in a nautical setting. Typically...

Mrs. Crusader picked up this set yesterday at TRU (Reading, PA). It was the last on the shelves. Combining the current 15% off coupon with the $10 gift card TRU was giving away last month made this a nice $24 purchase. Personally it looks like a nice set. It won't be opened until Christmas morning b...

The Fire Nation ship in the very brief Avatar line of 2006 had a nice brick built hull. A little digging on Lego's site would probably find the instructions.
