On the truck, I would have put the spoked wheel in front and have the strong solid wheels under the flatbed. Otherwise, this is a cool set.

You might try adding a brick built tree. I find that LEGO trees are just too small to convey a true forest.

I can easily see that 1 x 4 piece being used for fences and railroad stock cars, moreso if the piece was 1 x 6 with a single stud at each end.
