Re: Colossal Castle Contest 8: Winning Entries!
Thanks again to all who made this contest such a success (again)!
Always nice to see the new categories; and both new and old faces/builders!

Re: Knights In Tunic's
I like it - nice and simple. But I also concur that 2 separate plates would help distinguish the feet from each other, particularly if you skewed them slightly. Michael Jasper has got a nice idea here too - http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/mijasper/Things/Musikinstrumente/bagpipes.jpg I found that ...

Re: A Medieval Christmas Carol
Thanks Katie, glad you like it :) That's my only complaint about the CCCs - it's such a rush, and dominates everything (if you go for Master Builder, that is!). Now I have to ask myself, can I be bothered to polish this one up a bit? Not really, to be honest, as it's only minor details that only I'l...

Re: A Medieval Christmas Carol
Thanks all Glad you like it.
Rod, it was borderline whether I could find time to build anything, let alone invest more time to get it to a higher standard! I'm going to have to sit out the JRC2, me thinks...

Re: Colossal Castle Contest 8
In the Fairytale category, it says "Build a scene from your favorite fairy tale."
Does this exclude the possiblity of incorporating multiple scenes into one model (example)?
Cheeers =)

Might have to sit this one out... stupid real life
...or I might have a few small cracks. Small ones, mind.
Thanks for running it again, must be a huge investment each year; much appreciated!

Re: Temple of the Knights Flawnponderer
Thanks all :) So what happend in the Flan Tuesday Coup? They weren't trying to dress up their flans with strawberries and whipped cream, were they? If that were they case, I think they were most justifiably outlawed. I like the way you achieved a hollow structure but with a definitely solid look to ...

Temple of the Knights Flawnponderer
Temple of the Knights Flawnponderer Following the disastrous Flan Tuesday Coup of 1236, the once widespread profession of flawnpondery was outlawed across the land. Now only a handful of loyal flawnponderers keep the spirit of improving patisseries alive. Meeting in their ancient temple off the Bal...

Re: How-To by Forestboy - Fire Strands
Good article, at last a definitive, clear explanation! One of my favourite MOCs using this technique is Lolas' Miller's Nightmare , from the CCCV, as gushing water. It's also worth noting that the small plume/fire piece fits in the nook, so can be used to add another dimension or texture to the flam...

Excellent. It's really nice to see dark tan getting a look-in on castle these days.
I love the thatched roof, fences and ladder.
Finally someone with the resources to do so unleashes the potential of the flipper!
