Good discussion.

I will add my name to the cautiously optimistic group. LEGO has done a really good job over the last couple of years with their set designs and keeping things fresh and interesting. I certainly hope that continues.

Didn't the LEGO reps at NWBrickCon '08 state emphatically that there would be no elves this year?

I showed my brother this post and his jaw dropped. I'm much more interested in this set than in Vol.1 Vol 1 had the old fireman and the red spaceman but this has two spacemen, a pirate, and a ninja! I may buy a few of these. Of course, it would have been better with an old crusader or black falcon. ...

Ork singles on sale at LEGO and others...

So I went to the Potomac Mills outlet in Va. last Saturday and lo and behold they had the Ork single pack for $1.74. Now I did buy the 29 that were out, but the salesperson assured me there were others in the back. Also, the coast guard single was discounted. For you Star Wars fans, they had one UCS...

I like this news.

HALO just doesn't seem LEGOey enough to me.

Now, I would just fall over in my chair if LEGO snarked the Disney theme from MB. But that's not going to happen.

*sigh*

Is it just me or does the new Willie Scott hair with the red crown look like blood splatter in this picture as if she was just shot in the head by the gangsters? A blister pack with 4 cows for $14 probably wouldn't fly financially. I do like the idea of a new western theme using the cows and the idea of a smaller farm set with a single cow is a good one too. I'm all for LEGO sheep and pigs. But why stop there! Introducing LEGO Circus/Zoo Theme! Hippos, Giraf...

If I had to choose from your four?

Majisto.

He's the only one with a wand with a star on the end. Real wizards have star wands.

He's so secure in his wizardhood that he doesn't suffer from staff envy.

For real.

I saw this last week at TRU and almost picked it up. The price scared me off though. Don't get me wrong, I'm not against paying for sets I want but this set didn't really have a whole lot in it that justified buying the set. Holstein Cows Brown Ladder Tan Fedora Bricklink. Definately Bricklink. *edi...

Looking at the picture of "Pyramid" game, there looks to be some interesting fig heads.

Can't wait to see some other sets. Here's hoping they're mostly unique games and not old staid ones like Monopoly.

Well, it is almost two complete sets. But you're right it is on the expensive side. I guess they figure people will pay for the set just to get the droid.
