Re: Nexo Knights in 2016 - Official pics!
I think this looks great, actually: I'm more excited about these sets than I have been about a new line for a while. They look really fun, and I see lots of potentially-useful parts as well. I agree that there are some silly-looking swords in there, but I'm sure people will come up with good uses fo...

Re: Curved Amphiteater Walls
Very cool! Many thanks. Sorry (and if pedantry annoys you, you should stop reading this) but I can't take it any more. It's not an amphitheatre, it's a theatre. For some reason this really bugs me. I know that K3G knows the difference really because he calls it a theatre on MOCpages and in the origi...

Re: Nikaia Antipolis
Thank you so much, but the design of column capitals is not mine. As I explained on MOCPages, it is from Sean Kenney and its New York Stock Exchange Building http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/156919 Well, that'll learn me not to look at MOCPages, then... Sorry for not reading your post carefully enou...

Re: Nikaia Antipolis
Brilliant, as everyone else has said. I particularly like the design of the column capitals - they're really hard to make look convincing in LEGO.

Re: My Latest Castle
That is just gorgeous. The scale of the interior works really well, and helps (along with the colour scheme) to create the 'classic' feel that others have commented on. The attention to detail is great - I particularly like the jumbled boxes in the storeroom/cellar, and having the writing desk next ...

Aha. I see. That makes sense.
I like what you've done with the dark green, there. Nice natural-looking outline for the wood.

Re: If you could bring back any Castle Subtheme...
I know this was just a typo, but it conjured in my mind a delightful vision of a whole subtheme of medieval transport, with sets ranging from a packhorse, through carts, to a merchant ship and harbour... [wistful sigh]Dr.Cogg wrote:Freight knights .

Re: Classic Castle Table-top Wargame
Looks gorgeous; hope you have fun with it. For those who haven't come across it before, the Song of Blades system is great for skirmish-level games; it's what we've been using over the last few months too. It's quick and it's got really simple mechanics but there's plenty of depth in tactics. Comman...

Made my day. Nice-looking duck and an entertaining back-story (the black knight is indeed the man for the job). I also like the pig in the attack force...

Re: CCCVIII Elswehr Castle
Gorgeous, and a very natural-looking colour scheme. I liked the scale, too - gives a sense of mass without overwhelming the figures. The bare timber section on the walls works well, too, and along with some of the other smaller details makes this look like a building which is actually being lived in.

Wheeled shepherd's hut... brilliant idea, beautifully executed. And a wonderful sense of motion and life throughout.

That middle picture is priceless - really captures the horrible leering expression you'd expect. And I'm with Tower - that's an excellent job on the teeth.

Much coolness throughout, but I particularly like the colour scheme and the way you did the river banks - simple, but really effective.

Re: Collectible Minifig Series 4
Perhaps in this line there won't be that one fig no one but the most die-hard can find. That would be nice. Yeah, it would. Part of the problem with both the Spartan and the Elf is that, apart from (understandable) demand from army builders, they are both representatives of themes that many of us w...
