I knew Spooky Girl would end up being a Goth. Love the "dead" teddy bear.

Re: LEGO Ideas Winter Review Results
I definitely think they made the right decision here. It hits that combination of broad appeal (I bet a lot of boys will want it just for the dinosaur skeleton, even if the scientists are all women), ease of production (no new molds or prints, no licensing to acquire), and applicability (fits into a...

More info has been posted on Eurobricks, but I don't remember whether that's considered legit to discuss.

Ha, yes, dinosaur hunter is probably correct, and I can see the Katniss influences. I think my brain went "alien hunter" because the color of the syringe made me think of space goo. I'm adding these to The List using the following names: Dinosaur Hunter Drill Guy Greek Goddess Swashbuckler...

That wizard's hat...THAT WIZARD'S HAT. It's a clear shout-out to my favorite fictional hat of all time . Given LEGO's partnership with Disney...is this a sneak preview of something unfathomably awesome? Actually, all six of the minifigs in that shot have something to offer, even the dude with the dr...

Re: Carnival Mixer Set
What an outstanding set! The collapsible ride is spot-on accurate and yet so innovative for LEGO! I also love the stilt-walker and the new "sick" face. I may have to set aside a fund for it!

I know we've been letting this thread slide lately, but yesterday I had some downtime at work and came up with some more ideas for my personal wishlist. Before I send the updates on to Athos, would anyone else like to weigh in? Make sure to check against the master list on the front page!

May your next batch of blind-bag minifigs all turn out to be the one you don't want!

Re: The LEGO MOvie - I've seen it
I just saw it again tonight. It's better the second time (especially when there are people in the theater seeing it for the first time).

Re: Dear lego......large castles
It occurs to me that a lot of the larger castles already have you build in sections and then hook them together with Technic pins.

Re: Best official sets to play with
The Fantasy Era Dwarves' Mine had a lot of fun stuff to tinker with. Between the carts on rails, the chute with the tilting hopper, and the little basket scooting along the curved wire, you could set up a rough facsimile of a mining operation. It was one of those rare sets that actually gave you a s...

I'm interested in signing up (finally), but should I try to catch up on the metaplot first? Is there a summary anywhere?

Re: Dear lego......large castles
Modular sets would be great! If they were designed right, you could buy as many or as few as you wanted and customize a castle of any size. I'm picturing something like wall sections, corner sections, towers of various heights, armories, treasure rooms...

Re: More Minifigures in Large LEGO Castle Sets
Do you think maybe they reduced the number of in-set minifigs in order to get people to buy battle packs?
