Re: Rebuilding 6081 King's Mountain Fortress

This will be the minority view, but this is one of my favorite castles. I really like the princess and the black bird too. About a year ago I started a project rebuilding castle sets too. Didn't get too far with it. Steve You know what really stifles a rebuilding quest? Children under 4 that prefer...

https://www.flickr.com/photos/insidethemagic/12584970215/sizes/o/
It is indeed a skeleton. I happened to see a good, clear shot over at this thread http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=86937&st=50#entry1865356 . Now to just wonder what style of arms it gets...
Than...

Re: Juniors - Knight's Castle

Does anyone have pics of the backside of this set? It looks like there is a small cache of weapons or some sort of formal room space (from the front of the box)? This is an interesting set, and I've just discovered that my three-year-old is adept at putting together these Junior sets all by himself ...

Re: Castle and Tolkien sets for 2013

Wow, I can honestly say after a lot of patience and hopefulness this news is 100% letdown and that's putting it mildly. What are you THINKING TLG?!? You tease the return of Forest on more than one occasion, first as Elf, then as traditional forestman, and now...basic two factions...LIONS and DRAGONS...

Re: CC Set Review: 6082 Fire Breathing Fortress

I had a friend who owned this set when it first appeared in the early/mid-90s. I was never that envious of it, much preferring the size and piece counts of my King's Castle, Black Knights Castle, et al. from the 80s. However, in retrospect I am jealous of never owning my own. I do not have one of th...

Re: CC Set Review: 6066 Camouflaged Outpost

Flawless . For 1987, immaculate. For modern collectors, unflappable considering high number of men, non-traditional horse color, and innovative components/compartments. I received this set for my 5th birthday, and it remains one of the great "reveals" of all-time for me and LEGO gifts. It...

Collectors, Where Do You Store Your MISB?

Here is a general question. I read a lot of comments on here about how everyone is always buying "double", "triple", and "quadruple" versions of their favorite respective sets (i.e., especially Castle), and I too have quite a few accumulated over the past 6 or 7 years. ...

Re: Bag End

This set looks BOSS, but at $60 I won't come close to buying it. I love its authenticity, especially the rounded shape. For $60, I'd hope it could have a 360 degree shell and split open for dual interior play. I just can't get in line with the steep inflation TLG has installed across the board. It's...

Re: Kingdoms Chess!!!

Got mine for Father's Day! :tasty: Excited to have this many additional figs for armies, even if the faces are repeats and the jesters are useless (hey, perhaps its time for that 'traveling troupe'?!). The base plate may be "meh", but perhaps it'd make a wicked 'Game of Thrones' MOC statio...

Re: Helm's Deep - Treat Yourself

I was at Toys'R'Us a couple of weeks ago, shopping for my son's b-day, and I noticed Helm's Deep was on the racking for an astonishing $150 U.S. Needless to say (or is it anymore??) I did a double take and nearly flipped the shelf. Are we really okay with a sudden mark-up of nearly 1/3 the price? I ...

Re: Discussion: Knight's Kingdoms vs. Ninjago

I see Ninjago as a progressive reaction to KKII. They are clearly "aware" of the fan community. For the record, I think they tried a bold and innovative initiative with KKII's card game, comic, and online games creating a legit medieval fantasy storyline. Maybe there were kinks in the road...

Re: LotR sets revealed!

I am sorry, but does anyone else not think that these sets are completely watered down? And no, I'm not really talking about how you can "never recapture the imagination of the movie", which is true for all licensed sets. With LOTR specifically, I am talking about the distilled piece count...

Re: Lego 10223 Kingdoms Joust Exclusive

The Kingdoms line is basically gone from the store completely. There were two areas near the back, completely covered away where they kept the Joust sets and then a pile of Medieval Market. I got so frustrated when I saw the MM because I remember rushing out to buy it the first couple of weeks of it...

Re: Lego 10223 Kingdoms Joust Exclusive

Picked up my Joust set this weekend! :) It really worked out too, because I received a $100 gift card for Christmas to the Lego Store. Then, my new Lego catalog came in the mail on Thursday, and it has a 10% off coupon for any one item. Plus, I had $15 in VIP accrued on my account. So, it ended up w...
