Fantastic stuff. As others have said, the use of forced perspective for the backgrounds is nicely done, and very effective.

I'm really impressed with how this is shaping up. The sloped ramp section is particularly nice.

I was wondering if you planned including any water? A small waterfall and stream might add a nice splash of colour on the base?

I use these for a lot of creations instead of baseplates...

This totally deserved a front page linking. It's a lovely technique, one I hadn't seen before and, most importantly, it's not really fiddly or uses loads of rare pieces. I think we'll see a whole heap of creations using this in the future.

I too like the awnings and the overgrown feel. Perhaps a bit of wear and tear on the roof would have been nice, but that's nitpicking. Overall this is lovely.

For me it depends... Some things I build are absolutely for my own entertainment. Quite often the photos I take of these don't even make it online - not because they're particularly "bad builds", rather than I just don't think anyone would be remotely interested. However, I'm very competit...
