Re: My first castle creation Crownie Castle (updated: 05/14/09)

Im hoping that I'll have this whole thing done by the next great Classic Castle Contest. It'll be too bad that only 3 pictures can be used though, leaves a lot I have in mind out.

Stay tuned for more. :)

This is the mostly finished product of the curtain wall and wooden cover walk. Let me know what you think. http://snt-systems.com/Misc/Lego%20Castle/modular_wall_walk_1.jpg http://snt-systems.com/Misc/Lego%20Castle/modular_wall_walk_1_small.jpg http://snt-systems.com/Misc/Lego%20Castle/modular_wall_...

Re: My first castle creation Crownie Castle (updated: 04/12/09)

Okay, I have been slowly chiseling away at the various sections of the front 2/5 of this mighty castle's fortifications and I am nearing the finished product. I'll have some updated pictures posted later this evening. I've gone back through all the walled sections to toss in a more worn look to the ...

A few more pictures added

I got some more parts to play with the curtain walls and such but not everything that I currently need to finish up. Since Lego doesnt have any "dark bley" 1 x 6 x 2 arches I am trying to make due with 1 x 6 x 1 dark bley (when they arrive) for the door archways and some little dots to hel...

Re: My first castle creation Crownie Castle

Thanks for the comments folks. As I move forward Im trying to incorporate small details into the walls and arch supports. Walls: For the dark bluish grey walls I've been wanting to work in some of the old dark grey bricks to give it more of an aged look and some discolorization. I want to do the sam...

Re: My first castle creation Crownie Castle

Yeah, I hate camera phone quality. I'll get my "good" digital camera and snap some good ones real soon.

My first castle creation Crownie Castle (updated: 05/14/09)

This is still a work in progress, a slow one at that. I have been inching along since December in my very slim free time away from work and my wife/life. I have only been working on the front gatehouse and curtain walls thus far and as you can see I have a ways to go until this section is complete. ...

Re: Large Gatehouse for Huge Modular Castle

Nice work. I have been working on something quite similar to your gatehouse over the past 4 months but since it has been my first MOC in like 15 years, 2nd moc ever, its going to take me some time to get it the way I like it. Mine is only 34 studs tall over the gate and 48 with the watchtowers. Your...

This set is sweet, I was lucky enough to pick one up in store at Arden Fair in Sacramento. I live in San Francisco and our local San Mateo store wasnt getting it until Monday. I was headed up to see the future in-law family in Sacramento so I decided to stop by the store. They had only 3 left at noo...
