Re: What is a Trebuchet?
According to the history section in my Age of Empires II: The Trebuchet was a large catapult powered by a heavy counterweight, usually a large box of rocks. The long throwing arm was pulled down against the mass of the counterweight and a large stone was loaded. When the arm was released, the heavy ...

Re: CCCVI Custom: Forest Wolf
It was actually very simple. I just put the image on paint and then drew the antlers on. The result is crude but looks fine on a small scale.Sleepy Hollow wrote:Very nice cape or cloak! The logos are well made, I'm curious how you made them. Mind posting a small How to on this thread?

Re: CCCVI Custom: Forest Wolf
So, is that kind of like a Jackalope ? You've got a neat concept here, which turned into a pretty good custom. I would have gone with a different face, but everthing else is nice. What is the sword made from, and is that jut a piece of string tying it on? Clever. Thanks for the comments everyone. T...

Re: Who would win the Lego Castle War: Evil Edition
Well, seeing as the title is who would win, not who I like, I'm going to say skellies. They have a strong tower, many working (which a lot of others don't) siege engines, dragons, a wizard, a ship, and soldiers that never need food or water.
In short, they have an army, navy and an air force.

Re: CCCVII Entry - Bear Claw Castle
I like it. The attention to detail is brilliant. I have a few minor problems with it though. First, don't you think the castle is a little too clean? Also, don't you think its a little too 'jungly' for people running around in furs? And is it just me, or does the head look a little wolfish? Maybe it...

Re: Gate Sizes
I reckon the problem is because lego castles are usually too small compared to minifigs.

Re: CCCVII - Religious life entry - Rebels
Very nice job! The best thing to me, and my favorite part of any good MOC, is the fig positioning. The guards racing down the stairs are nicely done. The third picture is a wonderful angle that really captures the mood. :) I agree totally, nicely done! I also especially love the guards running down...

Really? New Zealand is usually the last place to get new lego stuff. We don't even have the new castle stuff yet.

Re: Weekly Set Review: The Good Wizard
Meh. Doesn't even come with a cape. (thank you, giant chess set ) As far as parts go, its alright. Not great but there are a couple of parts I need. The minifigs okay, but I'm not so sure about the colour. EDIT: Is it just me, or is the wand way too big for the minifig? It's more like a staff.
