As far as real castles and castle lego are concerned, real castles are obviously a good way to help classify a moc you make. At the same time, however, the "definition" of a castle or another fortification (in history or with a moc) can sometimes be very loose and opinionated. Ps-everyone ...

Well, considering that one of my main armies is currently an all purple and teal (kk2) one, I will have to say that I use them the most. I made it an army because I liked the way they looked... and... I suppose I like the original armor designs of both. The original designs seem to allow for more cr...

I will not be getting any of these sets for their minifigures, however, the viking fort seems to have a lot of pieces. Unfortunately, I have never had very many brown pieces so this set could help out a lot. What was the piece count for it around 1,000. If so, I will not be complaining there.

I do not know if I stress this enough, however, I hope everyone knows that I am trying not to be critical or angry with any opinions different then my own (sometimes it is hard to understand the tone or message of a CC member as it can be hard to relay such things). I value and enjoy everyones opini...

Sadly, it is not the same everywhere. I actually work at Target in Pa and there are currently no such discounts, that is except for my team member discount, hehe. There are tricks to receiving the merchandise cheaper, such as asking for a discount for a damaged box (even if there is not much damage).

Hmmm... I really like the box art or scene of all the vikings and what not, however, I am going to have to agree with Sir Kohran. There seem to be a lot of interesting parts to the viking line, and a good amount of pieces that could be used as MOC fodder. Although, I do not think the figures look al...

Yes, vikings did have helmets. Now that that is settled... I do actually think the line is appealing, however, I meant that I am more interested in what the kk2 sets have to offer. I think it is great that there is interest for both the viking and kk2 lines.

Anyone who wants to see something very strange, look at the Walmart link (the one under the new posting for this week about kk1 sales), and the Castle of Morcia the site has posted. There are so many pieces as well as figures in the picture that are not actually in the set (the pictures of the two a...

I agree with what Architect said, I am only tired of poor designs (ones that hardly have good enough pieces to be turned into anything decent). It is almost like lego takes surplus and leftover pieces and trys to come up with something they can slap a name on. It just so happens that most of them re...

Yea, thanks for the replies, I have seen such history books as well. I suppose I was just trying to be reassured that such a style would have been possible. I think I am going to try to stay away from painting. After my warhammer days, I do not want to even think about painting.

I guess this series will be interesting for some, however, I do not plan on getting many of the sets. Lately, I have been needing sets with pieces that can be used for MOC's. Aside from that, I am a bit upset that TLC made stereotypical Vikings with horned helmets (helmets they did not have). Mostly...

Teal Pawns

Hello, I just received the new chess set, and I am very happy about the way it looks. I will be using it as an army builder , however, I am a little stuck on what to do with the teal pawns. I am definitely not using the crossbows, but I would like to try and use their colored kettle helms. I was won...

Thanks for all of the interesting replies. Also, ottoatm congratulated me on the win, but I can't say I necessarily "won" them. Well, I recently(and finally) persuaded my cousin to sell the lego sets he has that he bought from ebay. He suprisingly has almost every castle set up to the roya...
