I know, I know. But after my week in Egypt the only thing I've done with Lego is decomposing my CCC wooden castle and more and sorting. And I'm far from finished.

Re: Lands of Classic Castle - Discussion Thread

I believe the only advantage of a faction recruiter would be that he could depict his minifig character dancing a 'verbunk', a traditional Hungarian army recruitment dance. Mmmh, Szatmári Verbunk... :D But as I think no-one has that even considered a possibility, I agree fully with AK, WvdP etc.

Re: LCC-Lenfald Official Faction Thread.

I like Airgid Corónaigh even better than Aldmann Mountains. Gaelic is very uncommon to me, it's easier to find the old germanic or old english names of things. When I researched some of the nameparts I realized Tolkien must have used the same sources, like in Dunharg, Nan Curunir etc. His names of p...

Re: LCC-Lenfald Official Faction Thread.

Now where the Megablocks is everybody!? I don't know about the others, but I've been in Egypt last week. It was a very inspiring trip, and a source of ideas for the occasions when I need to depict the Loreesi lands, cities, fortifications and people. It also taught me that capitols change over the ...

Re: Lenfald FO Election Thread

You three summed up what I had in mind as well. A proper administration of who is member of Lenfald and with wich status/scored points etc so that we all can see how we're doing. Hosting challenges including announcements and, if necessary, reminders. Actively encouring other Lenfels to come up with...

Re: Lenfald FO Election Thread

Teherean has my support as well. I trust he can do this and will delegate things to the FL when he will be busy on other business.

What do you think, Albatross_Viking, DNL, jimbo87 and theboywarrior? Could you respond before friday?

Re: Lenfald FO Election Thread

Lots of posts ago I said I wouldn't apply for FO. Seeing that no-one has nominated himself yet and Elderon nominated me (thanks for having so much faith in me :D ), I change this to: I'll be prepared to act as an FO only if no-one else is willing. If Teherean would take the job, or anyone else, I'd ...

Re: LCC General Information and FAQ

@bentoft: an attractive idea, but it might cause some confusion. Some forum members named their main character after their own forum nickname, but for others, these are two seperate identities, each with their own name.

Re: About the nature and working of magic (LCC)

I'm glad you like it and see it as a workable solution. After having it finished late last night, I realized it doesn't tell about magical creatures like orcs, dragons, trolls, magicians & witches, elves and centaurs (I mention them because brickforge has these lovely bodies). I think it should ...

Re: Lands of Classic Castle - Discussion Thread

After reading the comments on the revised story, I see some miss an even more elaborate lecture about magic. And some don't like the name Alphundus. To start with the latter: yes it's a bit softy. If he had been more forceful and wise, would he have let his sons split up his empire? He is a bit of a...

About the nature and working of magic (LCC)

One very reliable informant from Roawia came up with a document. He gave it to me to investigate if it was of any worth, and my intuition says yes. It must be one of the earliest documents in the long history of Roawia about how magic works and what it's limits are. And the author claims to have use...

Re: Lands of Classic Castle - Discussion Thread

Some on my lug complained the forum is a bit messy. They don't know what to read first, and what to read to be 'completely' informed - to the point they're confident enough to join. Others are OK with it as it is. In my opinion the stickies do help a lot. I hope and trust you that their number doesn...

Re: The Lands of Classic Castle Lore voting

Thank you all for the compliments, in words as well as by votes. I feel to honoured that I could contribute something. @wobnam: yes, factions. Three sentences earlier 'they gathered followers' and two alineas later this is repeated with 'friends and faithful came to aid'. I wanted to be explicit abo...

Re: The Lands of Classic Castle Lore voting

Here's my revised version. --------------------#------------------------- O nce, long ago, there lived a king by the name of Alphundus. He was a direct descendant of Roawan the First, who was the very first king of these lands that were named after him. The line of kings had never been broken and Al...
