This was one of the first sets that I bought mostly for myself after my son grew interested in other things. I thought it was fun to build, and is a nice-sized addition to a castle collection. It has been boxed up for several years, but I think I'll have to pull it out & build it again!

Many early weapons (swords, halberds, etc.) over time developed into sizes that were too large for any purpose other than ceremonial use, parades, and so on. So it's not unrealistic to think of these for use in those roles, and not for use in combat.

Sounds like you already answered your own question. How about King Leo's Castle for your birthday, and the collection for Christmas. Whatever it takes to get at least one of each set available.

No criticism here. I like the use of the minifig arms for the Dragon Dung.

The first thing that came to mind when I saw the Foresmen's ensemble...Yellow Man Group!

My original comment, about the husks being green, was intended to be humorous. Thus the "Razz" emoticon next to the statement. The MOCs are very good, and it seems that some of you have mistaken my intended-to-be-funny comment for harsh criticism. This is definitely not the case. Lighten u...

Well, some of the babies have three eyes, and fish are born with eight toes...but corn husks are still green.
