...I own this set. I remember I bought it especially for the yellow edged shield of black falcons (the only one in my collection).... It is an average set.
Last year I increased the lenght of the boat and now it looks better...

.....If I remember well this was the last LEGO castle set which I bought (1993 or so).....

I didn't and I don't like like the DM figures however I bought this set for the wolfpack bandit. A wolfpack figure is always welcome!! 8)

.... The first time that I saw this set was during 1988. I didn't bought it, I don't remember why exactly. I find it a good set in general, however back to 1989 I prefered to buy other sets.......(specifically I bought all the other sets except from it!!)........ ...I think thas is one of the few (....

Nice looking set. However I prefer the classic figures of the forestmen, I think that they were much better than these of this set. Nevertheless the concept of this set is really interesting......

When I saw this set on the shelves of the shops during 1992 I didn't like it because there was no way to connect it with my other large castles. That's why I didn't buy it. Now I have understood than I made a terrible mistake... Here in Greece only this set and the hollow tree were pure forestmen - ...

I like this set a lot. If it had been released in Europe I would have bought it. These blue torsos were extremely rare then (1992), I think I only have five of them.
Immovable / stable catapults are supposed to belong to the defences of a fortress or castle. There is nothing wrong with them.

I can't call this set awesome.... It is interesting but I prefer the sets after 1984 (until 1992).
The use of colors is very successful. Nice combinations......

Nice set but I can't call it special.... Perhaps this set would be better if it had some figures-soldiers except from the mage......

The worst thing in this set isn't its design nor the fact that this siege machine makes no sense. I think the worst thing is the selection of the colors, the dark theme and the really ugly figure. I mean this set is proposed for children, no as a test if you suffer from depression!! I am unable to t...

A lego set is really good when its design is beautiful, difficult and when you can't build it without a plan. Although this set looks nice I can't find a reason why to buy it when you can build it with your own bricks and your eyes closed........ I believe that the sets with siege machines which wer...

I bought this set during 1989.... Very beautiful set with nice figures, colors and design. The most interesting thing of course is the two round shields which are very rare. I have only two round shields and these shields are from this set although I have bought many Lego castles sets........

8877 is a really good castle. However I think the designers should have cared a bit more for some details at the front part of it. The tower (at the gate) is not as impressive as the back parts of the castle. The combination of black, gray and brown colors is amazing........ The most beautiful thing...

The design of this set is disapointing.... The sets with the forestmen which were released during 1987 and 1991 are impressive, this set however released in 1996 is amateur's work...........

An awesome set indeed.... Beautiful design and good selection of colors.... But I disagree that the figures are excellent. I never liked the gray leggings, and three of the figures have them... Especially the black falcons with gray leggings and gray helmets (the archer) are ugly....But this is a mi...
