The renaissance this model is having is very strange to me; Aaron - you already commented on this on flickr two and a half years ago :roflol: but thanks very much guys, I guess this proves it has stood the test of time.

Why not have a look at some of the previous entries for the 'castle' category of the CCC - they should give you some idea of what it takes to build big (and well).

These sets make me want to cry with happiness. The Helms Deep set is everything the ten year old me wanted lego castle sets to be and the poseable horse is just wonderful. I love it.

Nice, compact, clean lines - could maybe use a bit of detailing in the walls but having said that doesn't really suffer from BGW syndrome, perhaps because of the size. Lovely interior details too.

Zoo sets with animals would be too ethically iffy for TLG IMO - but the new and previous dino ranges are close enough.
