Re: Drawbridge Defense

An amazing set which I've only had the privilege to examine at a friend's place. The first a foremost thing I noticed about this set is that it doesn't pretend to be anything it's not; it's a drawbridge, plain and simple. The second thing(s) are the unique minifigs, perfect for completeing a royal c...

Re: Kings Battle Chariot

The cart is extremely nice part wise: you get the new king, orcs w/ shields, the big wheels, a horse and multiple pike-things :D . The playability is 7/10 in my opinion, as the chariot is too large for the orcs in the set. If you were to buy it with a number of other sets, such as Tower Raid and Tro...

Re: New Power Miners Giant Rock Monsters

I picked up the Crystal King a few weeks ago, and after finally building him, I must say I am impressed. I initially was going to pass over the entire Power Miners, seeing as how Rock Raiders was far better. Crystal King inspired me to buy the two impulse sets with Boulderax and Glaciator, which hav...

Re: New castle imitates Neverwinter Nights two?

Personally, I find the current Castle line to be very good for creating game-based campaigns. Much of what they have has been in many franchises, such as orcs/trolls, dwarfs, and knights. It comes as no surprise that Castle '07-09 "re-creates" this game. On a side note, and I'm hoping you ...

Re: Does anybody player Oblivion: Elder Scrolls?

I have it and the expansions and love it all. I can't wait for the next one to come out next year. They're making a fifth Elder Scrolls? The last I heard (within the past few months) was that Bethesda currently has no plans for a fifth installment. Especially with them having just released Mothersh...

Re: The Eight Wizards

I voted for the Guardian, for he came with the trans-neon-green spear, which I loved. His body was also wonderful to part out. The molded beards are infinitely useful, and the torso piece is some of the best chainmail TLC has ever made. His head also makes good use for an old king. Majisto was nice,...

Re: Repairing cracked arms and torsos

I've had this happen, and this is my solution: For my torsos, I take a Q-Tip and some Testors model glue and apply it lightly, which seems to do the trick so far (I tried 4 years ago and it still holds). For the arms, I've done the same with toothpicks rather than Q-Tips (Attempted this 3 years ago)...

Pardon if I'm wrong, but wasn't the original Dinosaur Creator set primarily brown and red-brown? :D

down south in the Dakotas :D Now there's something you don't hear every day! Well, I only ever get to leave my igloo and ride my polar bear down south in the season of road-repair, known to some as "summer" On a different note, upon see the cover creature built at a friends ho...

Re: Fiery Legend

Very nice, perhaps even better than Mythical Creatures. I'll need to get if first for any comparison though they will go great together! I'll probably picking this up in two weeks along with Drawbridge Defense when I'm down south in the Dakotas :D

Re: New Power Miners Giant Rock Monsters

I was never mush of a fan for the small ones, I had always prefered the original Rock Raiders monsters. Call it, nostalgia if you will. The large rock monsters for Power Miners have piqued my interest though, I may just get one, though I'd prefer to wait for other colours. The Crystal King on the ot...

Re: Why LEGO Is Considered "Gender-Specific"

Just my two cents Recently, I haven't found Lego too boy-oriented. Allow me to use my sister as an example. She LOVES the Creator houses, usually selling at 35-50$ Cdn. Meaning I usually get her one for her birthday. Recently, we also saved up for and bought/split the Medieval Marketplace, as she lo...

Re: Profitable Elves?

TLC really doesn't have to do much to make Elves in my opinion. When I need an Elf for any reason, I just use one of the peach-heads (which I hate in all other circumstances). This would make Evels extremely easy to make, since the peachies are already out there in both male/female form. All TLC wou...
