The miniseries is ok at best.

Re: Castle at Brickfair 2010

Well Brick Fair is over but what a blast! Castle had some really cool stuff, unfortunately my primary camera batteries decided to provide exactly 14 minutes of flashy time before running out. I had to switch to another camera. I'm sifting through those shots before posting them to Flickr. There was ...

Re: Castle at Brickfair 2010

Ok, pardon the newb question, but I found the website for Brickfair http://www.brickfair.com/ but all I see is a listing for buying tickets in advance. I'm assuming you have to register if you want to bring something, does anybody know where the link to that is? I'd certainly like to go as I'm only...

Re: LEGO Direct to Consumer Feedback Request

To answer the first question, I have never bought a World Icon model like the Taj Mahal or similar set. If I did, it probably would be on sale and only purchased as a parts pack. To answer the second part: I've always wanted to see LEGO create more large sailing ships. Things that are more historica...

Then it should have died a few years back.

I'm not worried. Brand "M" hasn't been able to take LEGO and won't. The only company that can make LEGO fall is LEGO itself.

I will be there. I'm currently not scheduled to bring anything but that may change. Time is not my friend right now.

Re: Augmented reality

As much as I agree with you sentimentally, I think it was a good move. I've seen the little kids go nuts over it. It influences buying decisions as well. My own kids used it to select their latest purchase and had to wait in line while several parents helped their child(ren) look at certain sets to ...

Re: Pitchforks for Minifigures

I'd like to see a new version of pitchfork come out. Possibly two or four prong?

Can I sign the petition still or is this only for the three-pronged fork?

Re: Why be upset at the mass production of rare parts?

I don't think this is a real issue for builders, collectors, or sellers. Each will still do what they do and most are probably happy with the additions, the rest ambivalent. For the rare "collector seller" however, this is a real letdown. LEGO just took some of their priciest pieces and ha...

Re: Minnesota Renaissance festival! vs. the true Rennaissance!

I have yet to attend a Renaissance festival that is true to the actual Renaissance time period. The closest was about 20 years ago at the Maryland festival. The last time I went to a festival (years ago) there were people running around dressed as vampires and elves. For days after I was correcting ...
