Re: Micro Himeji Castle & Shinto shrine
I do wonder, though, if the original castle is striped so starkly black and white like that? For some reason it's reminding me of a stack of oreo cookies, but the original castle probably would, too. :-) Heh heh! The real thing does look pretty stripey, though it would have been much less stark if ...

Re: LEGO Blogging
What on earth is "SEO 'link-juice'"? :? Ha ha ha! An excellent question. :D (I'm so used to talking about these kinds of things at work -- my real job , not TBB -- that I sometimes forget about jargon like that.) SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization -- making sure that people can fin...

Micro Himeji Castle & Shinto shrine
Long time no post, but since I'm here for Bruce's blogging thread, I thought I'd also share my latest Castle MOCs on my favorite LEGO forum. I started several modules for the Micropolis contest on Reasonably Clever, so please disregard the modern cars for the purposes of this discussion. :halo: I sp...

Re: LEGO Blogging
Josh has us covered, so I'll answer Brickd's question. for the other blogs. what other technique have you used to get the word out to the Lego community to build traffic? If you're doing it for traffic, you're doing it for the wrong reasons. And if you're building traffic to generate ad revenue, you...

My brother "Thanel" is also at Comic-Con (representing TBB), and has posted a bunch of pictures too.

I believe that my comment on Flickr bears repeating here: "I want to go to there."
I really do. This is the sort of fictional, mystical, idealized place that exists in my head. So cool to see realized in living brick!

The narrow footprint was an excellent choice.
I didn't see that the staircase was open when I left a comment on Flickr, but it's no less awesome clinging to the side of the rocks.

That spire is *ahem* inspired!
The battlefield is wicked, as are *ahem* the unbelievers populating it.
(Gimme a break, I'm tired!)

Re: Golden Tulip Hotel
It's wonderful to see you apply the attention to detail we've come to expect from your Castle creations to Town as well. I really like the gray hotel, of course, but I also like the dark grey and sand green building on the right. The big windows are a nice contrast to the smaller windows we see so o...

I for one welcome our new Nostril-horse overlords. As a respected member of the online LEGO fan community, I will happily round up AFOLs to pay homage to the Nostril-horse king (aka Josh).

Re: LEGO Ambassador Nominations now open
I'd like to second the nominations for Aaron, Anthony, and Aliencat (see what I did there?) and remove my name from the list.
Perhaps not particpating in the next cycle of the LEGO Ambassadors program will give me back some time to particpate here on CC.

Re: Nightfox Pursuit Fighter (aka Chris actually builded!!!)
As I've said elsewhere (and bears repeating here, I think), stepping outside your normal theme can do wonders for your creativity and building skills. Different groups of LEGO builders have different techniques, and building in different themes can teach you techniques useful to your "main"...
