Re: Clerestory Keep

Howdy - I am glad that yall liked the MOC. I purchased the modified plates from the local LEGO Store Pick-a-Brick, so I got them all at once. When I saw them, I thought that they would make I nice roof, but it took me awhile to make it work. The tails on the birds are, alas, cut. I got many of these...

Clerestory Keep

Howdy - I have been away for awhile, but I finally got back to building with the castle MOC below. I bought a bunch of 2x3 Modified Plates with Hole , and thought that these pieces should be good for roofing. I don't know how many folks have already done this, but I hadn't seen any, so I started bui...

Selling Old Gray in Bulk

Howdy - It's been a long time since I've posted, but I am slowly getting back into Lego. My kids are old enough to really be enjoying it now, and things have gotten somewhat under control at work. I have been adding to my collection over the past few years, and building a few MOCs for the community ...

Sometimes you just gotta build

Howdy - I woke up Saturday morning a couple weeks ago and just had to build. I didn't want to plan, I didn't want to think, just build. I had been collecting trans-clear 1x2 bricks for awhile, and decided that I had enough for an office building. I grabbed my grey bricks, slapped down a big grey bas...

Howdy -

Thanks for all the nice comments. It went up at the store on July 12th, and will be there for a few more weeks.

I used the Crownies, because that is the current faction, and I wanted to support the local store. :D

Community Window - Baybrook, July 08

Howdy! I haven't posted in a while, as I have been taking a break from serious building and focusing on work (new contracts, new employees, etc). I hope to get more time this year for building. With the advent of the Lego store in Houston, I put together this MOC for the Community Window. It is a si...

Congrats Lamanda and Athos, well done! Thanks Lenny for running this contest. It is hard to be patient sometimes, but the rewards are that much nicer for the wait. Now that the judging is complete I don't have any excuse to put off fixing the errors in my story and incorporating the good comments I ...

Very, very nice Jens!

You have created a unique and wonderful bridge entry. I like the way you used the "jumper plates" to create the railing supports.

Great job! :D

Great work Chad!

I have long been a fan of the organic style of your MOCs, and this one continues to impress. I like the mushrooms, the front entry lamps, and the 1x1 round plates in the side window frames!

I look forward to more.

Jim

PS: I am envious of all of your green slopes :D

Howdy! Actually, you don't have to use different filenames. I found out when I updated the Roleplay maps in my Maj folder. You can upload a different file with the same name, and for a while Brickshelf will display the old one, but after about a day, it'll update. I thought this might be the case, b...

Howdy! I found that a few of the pictures had appeared in Brickshelf in the wrong order. I was only able to fix the problem by renaming the files, and not use any of the previous file names. I'm not really sure why, but anyway, they are fixed. As a result the folder went offline again. Hopefully it ...

Foundry of Strife - Stories Contest Entry

Howdy! I have completed my entry for the stories contest, and post it here for your review (when the Brickshelf folder is public). The link is: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=207223&n=0 The story doesn't seem very castley to start, but do not fear, it is a castle themed tale. Th...

kelderic -

Very nice work, inside and out. I am envious of that red door you have. I don't have one, but I think I may have to order one. :?

Thanks for sharing the pics.
