Overly Detailed Instructions

Dear LEGO, I am an old school fan and appreciate the days when the entire build for a set could fit on one carefully folded page, or for the larger sets a 20 page booklet. I find that the newer style of building instructions where it seems like every step of the build is shown literally piece by pie...

Re: LEGO's Vision: Anything But 20/20

I will always be a LEGO fan, through thick and thin. No doubt about that. My gripe today, though, is that I believe precisely the latter is the situation; LEGO is losing its touch. Their vision is thinning Well said. After 40+ years of being a fan of LEGO and an avid collector I have found that my ...

Re: Going on an adventure!

I really like the murky dark green water. It gives a much more realistic looking slow moving stream and also serves to fill in a lot of what isn't shown as the water would reflect the dark greens of the forest that borders it rather than being a bright and bubbly blue. Well done!

Re: Summer 2016 Ninjago sets

I've never had much like for the Ninjago line.... Until this year. I'm really loving the look of the new "Sky Pirate" series that is turning up on the shelves. I normally ignore the ninjago sets completely, but I've admired these on the shelf and will definitely be picking up some of them....

Re: Collectible Minfigures Series 15

Just found these in Canada on the shelf at the Chapters store in Guelph, ON. An all around great assortment of figures as there is something for almost everyone in this lineup. My favourites are the classic space astronaut, the animal control officer (it's actually the skunk that I like) and surpris...

Re: Collectible Minfigures Series 15

An all around great looking series of Minifigures. There's something for everyone in that lot. A few random thoughts: - Interesting that the Faun has a new leg mold, is this foreshadowing of more mythical creatures to come? - The Papoose/swadled baby is perfect for the long overdue LEGO nativity set...

Re: Collectable Figs Future Suggestions (Updated and Organiz

Based on the last series of Monster/Halloween minifigures that was released which included several zombie/werewolf versions of previously released minifigures. What minifigures would you like to see remade and "come back" as the undead? Either Zombies, werewolves, or vampires. Personally I...

Re: Nexo Knights in 2016 - Official pics!

UGH!! I am definitely not impressed with this turn of fate for the castle theme. It's just not castle anymore. Looks more like something from Masters of the Universe". It may have done OK with the focus groups, but that's why kids aren't allowed to vote in state elections. I'm reminded of the e...

Re: Ninjago set 70751 - Temple of Airjitzu

Great looking set. I love the beard on the statue in front of the temple. Looks like there is a lot of potential to add elements of this to any castle layout or MOC

Dear Lego - Shorter Minifig arms for shorter minifigs

Dear Lego, I've noticed that the short legs are becoming more common as a way to represent children, elves, hobbits and other short statured characters. Unfortunately the current minifigure arms that are on a standard torso piece are disproportionatly long and look out of place on these figures. The...

Re: Collectable Figs Future Suggestions (Updated and Organiz

Here's another idea I was thinking about this past weekend. How popular would collectible minifigure packs be if there were a series that included more extra parts rather than just the 1 or 2 accessories. What I'm thinking of would be basicly small polybag sets similar to some of the ones which are ...

Re: Collectable Figs Future Suggestions (Updated and Organiz

Australian Cowboy A stockman would be neat but not sure it would be much different from the cowboy? Maybe a whip instead of guns, and different print without a bandolier? That's kinda along the lines of what I'm thinking. I'm picturing a Cowboy character but rather than the traditional cowboy hat h...

Re: Collectable Figs Future Suggestions (Updated and Organiz

It's a particularly boring day at work so I dreamed up a couple of more additions to the idea list.

Cricket player
Duck hunter (Picture one of the guys from Duck Dynasty!)
Road Construction sign holder
Guy wearing a sandwich board advertisement
Dressage equestrian
Australian Cowboy

Re: Is the Simpsons still relevant?

I've been a Simpsons fan ever since the first episodes aired back in 89/90. Like most comments I agree that the show has lost a lot of it's quality and popularity in recent years. While sets based on the show would have some popularity, I doubt that they would be top sellers like some of the other f...
