Count Blacktron wrote One thing I really appreciated about the classic castle line was the inclusion of a peasant class, shops, merchants, ladies and gentlemen among all of the soldiers, knights and squires. While the modern era is good and emcompases a great deal of myth and fantasy I firmly believ...

My first LEGO Castle set was the yellow castle. I spent countless hours playing with the figs that came with it and I treasure this set like no other. The current offering of metallic and pearled accessories is by far superior for the very fact it is more historically believable from the arms and ar...

I missed out on the original but bought 3 copies of the Legend, 2 for me and 1 for my 7 year old daughter (who will be 13 next week  ) A great example of "medieval civilian" set and its appeal. Interestingly my daughter liked it because of the female fig and that it was "like a...

If there are stickers, BOOOO! Though I will still get 2 copies so I can have an extra hairpiece in that colour. The chase set 762...

I am quite fascinated by the construction and function of the doors in this set. Best set of the Viking line for sure. Not so much motte as bailey, but an excellent early period fortification at any rate.

Right on Dunechaser. I BL'd a couple of those heads to do the exact same thing, I have one of my "orcs" with that head who is the leader of my small horde, but I used a hood for headgear as I didn't like the way the eyes didn't line up with those helms. (I still have red torsos with blue a...

Impressive layout. The trees and foliage are attractive. The events unfolding with the minifigs is entertaining. I like the shot entitled "Back of the hideout" as the ruffians there are scrambling to arms and the wall on the right of the shot is weaving and leaning, as a result of weatheri...
