First Public MOC - Fort
Hello, I'm new around here, and I'd like to present my first public MOC: this fortress modeled after a Fort at Cardiff Castle. I built this autumn of 2009, and it was never completed, unfortunately. I was ready to close it up, but my older brother took it apart (with my grudging compliance) to fuel ...

Re: Weekly Set Review: Dwarves' Mine Defender
A neat little set. The minifigs are the main attraction, and I like the orc (ahem - troll ) banner. The dwarves are always cool, but it's odd that this one has no weapon. The machine itself is decent. I never found the blades very capable, they never really rotated smoothly, but it's a nice design o...

Re: Weekly Set Review: Night Lord's Castle
Fright Knights weren't much to speak of, however this set seems pretty good. I remember seeing this in the back of instructions for other sets and wanting it really badly. I'm sure now my view has changed, but I don't dislike it, from what I can see. The parts look like they can come in handy, the f...

Re: Weekly Set Review: Royal King's Castle
I never owned this, but I have some impressions. I think it's trying to sort of emulate the Royal Knight's Castle set from 1995, but it doesn't work out. It doesn't have as much of a creative design and it seems like a big square, or chunk of thick pieces. The colors don't really match up as well an...

Re: Weekly Set Review: Medieval Knights
This is a pretty good set. The Wolfpack guy seems a little out of place, but I like the Wolfpack so I don't mind. The Dragon Masters are cool and the shields, helmets and plumes are all good too. 3 swords is a good amount, and the horse is a nice touch. My only real issue is that the crossbowman has...

Re: Weekly Set Review: Royal Knight's Castle
I love this set. One of the few LEGO System castle sets I own. The color scheme works very well for me, it has a good amount and variety of minifigures and accessories, and the raised baseplate is cool if you can find a way to work with it. I'd say: 8/10 design (those stairs at the back are weird) 8...

Re: My Latest Castle
Great castle!
The design is pretty original, and I think the coloring is well done, and the opening up bit is neat too.
What more can I say than well done! (from a fellow newcomer)

Re: What's your favourite Castle helmet?
Pretty tough call....
Probably have to be either:
1. Helmet with pointed visor
2. Dragon Helmet
3. Helmet with noseguard and neck protection (not sure what to call it )
Of course, there are a ton of great helmets, and I'd probably choose others if I had them....

Re: Weekly Set Review: 6099 Traitor Transport
This set is okay for me. I like all the figs: the knights/soldiers are useful, and the Bat Lord is a fun one, and all the accessories are neat, plus it comes with a dragon, which is cool. I never understood the abundance of those wings up there, but the pieces are generally pretty handy. Not much pl...

Re: Favorite Top 3 Lego Castle Sets You Own
Well, I'm sort of new to this, but anyway... My favorite castle sets I remember are: 1. Royal Castle 6090 2. Royal Drawbridge 6078 3. Medieval Market Village 10193 The first two are probably the oldest castle sets I have, from my brother (not old to some, I know). The other "old" ones are ...
