I had been thinking about trying to do a Tudor style house with cross beams for a few months now. And that was going to be my plan of attack for the cross beams. But someone beat me to the punch, as I never even got a round to building. At least I know the technique will work and looks good. Maybe n...

I'm pretty happy with what's out there, more females wouldn't be bad. One thing I would add is we need more normal expresses. It seems like the past couple of years we had a lot of extreme expresses, to the point its over kill for me.

Personally I hate, hate the flesh toned mini-figures. My long time pet peeve us the sticker that cover more than one element is nothing compared to this. It's very unlegoish and the figures look weird. I can live with just about everything else on that list, but not this. At this point if the set ca...

Yuck! I don't like those sets at all. They look rather Jurassic Parkish to me. "Jurassic Park 2" pretty much did me in on anything dinosaur. So I have no plans to getting them.

I don't remember this set. '96? I wasn't to into model team in '96, the past few years I had not been impressed with the line. I might pick this one up, the reviews over at lugnet can pretty positive (not that's a good indicator).

Generally speaking I'd the prototypes better. The fort looked more Nordic and didn't have those catapults. And just about everything thing was betters about the long boat. Anyone else see the weird weapon/catapult on it? But over all I'm still impressed and will be get them. I think I'm going to be ...

If I'm posting to a place like this I'll call them Lego bricks or just bricks. Off-line 90% of the time its legos. Everyone knows what I'm talking about and I know what their talking about. I think its a public relation battle TLC lost a long, long time ago. Its pretty well ingrained into American s...

Personally I hate the Islanders. Hey, I have all the sets and I did like the first two I got. But I quickly became disappointed in them. I think 6278 is one of the worst set ever made. It has good elements but they were slapped together, so the sum of the whole is less than it's parts. One of the ot...

What kind of other toys did you have in this toy bin? And for how long? I can't think of anything off hand that would damage a brick like model cement, other than model cement. In old toys where the plastic is breaking down stuff (I have no clue what it is) comes to the surface. Maybe the ABS is suc...

Do Duplos count? I know the first Lego product I would have had would have a Duplo set. The first real Lego set I had was a Basic building set, but I have no clue as to the set number (I was too young and don't have the package). The first set I remember getting was 6826 Crater Crawler . I was prett...

And what about this sticky thing? How do the Legos melt? I'm not completely sure ABS does this, but as some plastics break down various components come out and can leave a sticky film on the surface. Sometimes its a powdery dust. Others its a crystal looking substance called frosting. Or a liquid c...

I just can't image how soaking your bricks in bleach could work. Nor do I think its a good idea to it use or Brasso. Yellowing is a chemical break down of the plastic caused by UV light. Bleach just can't undo that. I'm guessing Brasso is just removing the top layer of plastic the brick to make it w...

Are those set ever cool! I can't wait to get them. Just when I was starting to think '05 was another so-so year they go and do something like this. I'm just blown away right now. Hopefully there's not too many new or specialized bricks in these sets. And hopefully they sell well enough for Lego to m...
