CCCXII - 70402 'Demake'
Long time, no see, everyone! I was very excited about this year's "Out with the New" category and couldn't wait to make something. Naturally, life got in the way and I only had three days to make and submit my entry, so I went with something small: 70402 The Gatehouse Raid. Also my good ca...

CCCVII [Fairy Tale] - Rapunzel's Tower
Sadly, this is the only entry I had time to make this year. School has interfered with life and I haven't even been on the forum all year. http://www.classic-castle.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_sad.gif I'm very pleased with how it turned out. http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/mikal1/Castle/CCCVIII/...

Re: New Takeshi Itou - Canal Castle
My favorite detail is actually the green 1x1 and 2x2 tiles lining the riverbank, like lilypads or maybe scum. The lock system is brilliantly laid out and executed, as are all things Itou.

Re: CCC8 - Mission: Destroy the Neighbours
Did you take any mid-construction pictures of that window? I can imagine how frustrating it must have been to keep those pieces all lined up while you put the next layer on. Is it reinforced/'leaded' (the black rings) with construction paper? I like the effect you got by not building the entire room...

Re: Relativity
I think it looks a bit busy. If you have more bricks, I would suggest doubling the size of the environment while retaining the same number of figures (there are 15 in the print, but the 10 you have are fine). I think that would increase the impact of the environment. That said, you did an excellent ...

Re: Colossal Castle Contest 8
Not finding any information on this point: I just submitted an entry (Rapunzel's Tower) which includes a light-up fireplace. While this could conceivably have been accomplished using LEGO lights, (such as this piece ) I do not own any of these and resorted to using LEDs from Radio Shack. Since I cou...

Re: Minifig Sized Authentic Chainmail
You. Are. In. Sane. This is an amazingly tedious proposition! I agree that it looks better on the horse than it does on the minifig, maybe some day when I have 75 hours to spare I'll make myself a set. Thank you so much for posting this, we now know that it's possible!

Re: Ye 'Ole Postal
Great! I should get me a couple of those cows.
The legs kind of blend into the cow, which confused me for a bit. I love the decal you made! Green and white go well with the (I assume) Crownie crown. Good face, and clever construction with the backpacks!

Re: CCCVI Custom: Forest Wolf
So, is that kind of like a Jackalope?
You've got a neat concept here, which turned into a pretty good custom. I would have gone with a different face, but everthing else is nice. What is the sword made from, and is that jut a piece of string tying it on? Clever.

Re: CCCVII Entry: Castle of Illusion
Excellent! This is a tough trick to pull off, and you did a class-A job of it. I think I've seen the tribar done with LEGO before, but on a much smaller scale. An entire castle built this way is just a brilliant effect! I especially like that the architectural style you chose looks just like an Esch...

Re: The Screaming Bell of Doom - CCCVII Misc entry
And here I was hoping for some nice rats.. ;) Seconded! Do you actually use a Screaming Bell with Chaos, or was it purely inspiration for this incredible moc? All the great setting details, minifigs and construction aside, I think my favorite part of this MOC is the pedestal you set it on. The scen...

Re: CCCVII Entry- Classic-Castle Board Game
That is super creative! I agree with shmails that the board seems a bit crowded, but with all that functionality it's hard not to be. I would replace the orange plates with something more castle-y, but beside that this is a well-executed concept. Good choice of factions and enemies. I love the way t...

Re: CCCVII entry: Dragonborn Fighter
Can the feet stick to studs? The toes are attached to 1x1 plates, so he is attached to a stud. I was going to try making it so he could stand on a baseplate, but there just isn't enough space between studs for the toes to avoid colliding with the adjacent stud. (by the way, he's a Dragon born, from...

Many of you may recognize the inspiration for this custom, and for those of you who don't: consider yourselves lucky. http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/mikal1/Castle/CCCVII/Molakar-Kaerjhank/thumb/molakar_kaerjhank_entry3.jpg_thumb.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/mikal1/Castle/CCCVII/Molakar-K...
