Re: BrickCon 2013 CC Meetup

I'm in. I may very likely also have 3 more with me, including at least one LCC young builder from Portland. :)

Re: BrickCon 2013 SigFig Photoshoot Signups

I'm pretty sure I can build Griffon, Aeridian, Overload, and FerretClaw. I'm not sure whether I have the torso for theboywarrior, but I'll scour my bins to find out. I'll post more once I get to building these.

I won't spam the group with each picture on this thread, but here are some shots from my recent vacation to Nice, Monaco, Provence, and Paris: Saint Jean Cap Ferrat, including some really amazing gardens: http://www.flickr.com/photos/sedmison/sets/72157633524596587/ Monte Carlo, including the casino...

Re: Anyone planning on going to Bricks Cascade?

I want to thank Sean for coordinating the Castle theme at Bricks Cascade. We had a rocking theme, occupying the largest table island with 8 large displays and many smaller creations. We even had two Helms Deeps. And of course Oz which won best Castle Story and overall People's Choice. You're too mo...

Re: Anyone planning on going to Bricks Cascade?

It looks as though we have 24 tables' worth of space (12 long x 2 deep, which goes around a U-turn), so there should be space for whatever you want to bring!

Re: Anyone planning on going to Bricks Cascade?

Do you guys have your stuff listed in the "My MOCs" list on the Bricks Cascade web site? That will help me to plan the space a bit (I hope).

Re: Brainstorm on Castle theme

Hey, One thing I might suggest would be to have 'best large' and 'best small' creation awards (maybe bigger than a 32x32 baseplate footprint vs smaller). Of course there are always people who build massive castles for a con or contest, but there are also many excellent smaller creations that then g...

Re: Brainstorm on Castle theme

So here is my 2 cents on this. As a person sitting there waiting for all the 9148610349861734981734601897 awards to be given, I can honestly tell you that I truly appreciate when there are only 2 or 3 per category and the people don't talk for hours. As a person who was in charge of a theme, I want...

Re: Brainstorm on Castle theme

No one has any ideas?! If not, I'll just choose whatever theme and awards appeal to me, and everyone else can just deal with it. :orc:

Brainstorm on Castle theme

Note: Even if you're not going to BricksCascade, I'd appreciate your ideas! BricksCascade in Portland is coming up in March (the 9th and 10th), and I want Castle to have a respectable showing there. I figure if Castle can dominate BrickCon, there's no reason not to spread that domination south! By ...
