I love the underwater scene you depicted, that was really neat.
The burps look perfectly fine, they blend right in with the landscape.
Excellent scene overall!

Re: Work of Ryxe - Wombatt town and Poienari castle
Both of these mocs are outstanding and are a joy to look at. I especially like the castle and its design.
Your friend did a great job with all the details, and the landscaping is excellent too!
I look forward to seeing more great work from your friend in the future.

Re: Dear Lego, a great idea for a new popular theme!
If by chance we do end up with an ancients theme, what type of sets would you like to see? Here are my suggestions: *A battle chariot powered by 2 or more horses (with a driver and archer or spear thrower) *A greek or trojan style warship *Some type of ancient fortification *An ancient style temple ...

The Purple Samurai
Last night I was experimenting and colored a piece of samurai armor with a blue sharpie marker. Unfortunately the color turned out purple, but all was not lost... Luckily I had a pair of legs that jived well with the purple color, and the end result is... The Purple Samurai: LINK and another: LINK

Re: What type of fabric does TLG use for capes?
I think I've heard of poplin being used for custom items before. Another avenue is to take a LEGO cape down to the biggest fabric store in town and ask there. Being a young guy, the second you walk in they will feel sorry for you and ask if you need help. hehe :roflol: I was hoping I wouldn't have ...

Re: What type of fabric does TLG use for capes?
Type in Fabric Capes in the search bar here and you will get quite a few ideas. Printable fabric paper is what I hear being mentioned most and is what Lamanda uses for hers that she sells in her BL store. I own a few and aside from them being 1 sided and on white, they look and feel official. I wil...

What type of fabric does TLG use for capes?
Does anyone know the type of fabric TLG uses for capes? (see pic below)

I'm thinking of buying a whole sheet of that stuff and cutting out my own capes, flags, etc.

Re: A guided tour through Drachenfels castle
Hey Thomas, this is a most excellent castle! I like the way you chose to present it, with pictures of the real castle mixed in with pics of your moc. I'm really digging this gatehouse . And the aerial view showing the ground plan is nice as well. I'd probably like to see a few more panorama shots, s...

Re: My First MOC!
This was my first castle moc I made after coming out of my dark age.
Here's the cc THREAD.
The landscaping and interior were a little iffy, but otherwise I'm still satisfied with it. Can't believe its been 5 years!

Re: Russian movies
I just finished watching Mongol on netflix, and it was fantastic!
Definitely one of the best historical epics I've seen in a very long time, probably since Gladiator.
I hope the quality of the next two films in the series are the same as the 1st.
I think I got mongol fever now!

Dear Lego, a great idea for a new popular theme!
I was searching around the shop@home website and noticed this neat game being sold: http://shop.lego.com/ByTheme/Product.aspx?p=3841&cn=595&d=70 Take a look at the cover art and let me know whether you think those two factions would make an awesome new ancients theme? Castle and Pirates are ...

Re: 32x32: Cartref Castle
The door and the half stud offset in the windows are nice. Yea, I'm wondering how he managed the half-stud offset? I don't think I've ever seen that before in windows. Anyways, this is an excellent castle! I would love it if TLG released a castle set like this. I'm becoming very fond of these 32x32...
